Always passionate about nautical furnishings Gio Ponti gained direct experience in four ocean liners and two cruise ships upgraded or built from scratch after the war between 1949 and 1951 the Conte Grande Africa Oceania Conte Biancamano Andrea Doria and Giulio Cesare. Ponti designed this easy chair with slight variants for these ships.
D.153.1 Armchair

Designed in 1953 the D.153.1 armchair is part of the furniture of Gio Pontis private house in via Dezza in Milan. This re-edition is produced by Molteni&C based on the original drawings from the ponti archives. Brass structure cover in bicolor white-blue leather or Punteggiato fabric designed by Ponti for Rubelli in 1934. The fabric reinterprets the age-old technique of velvet-weaving bringing it up to date with contemporary patterns such as close sequences of staggered disks with various gradations of colour. Exhibited at the Salone del Mobile 2012 the D.153.1 chair enriches the Gio Ponti furnishing Collection.
D.154.2 Armchair

The armchair on the other hand was designed for one of the projects closest to Gio Pontis heart the villa of the Planchart collectors in Caracas (1953-57). It is part of the Gio Ponti Collection which was curated by Molteni&C under the artistic direction of Studio Cerri & Associati. The architecture reflected the ideas he had gathered during his trips to Latin America in 1952-53. Today the armchair which is like a cosy shell has a rigid polyurethane frame a soft polyurethane counter-frame and a cushion and is upholstered in the Molteni&C textile range with the option of differentiating the three component parts. In 2016 this armchair won the prestigious Wallpaper Design Awards and became a Molteni&C icon.

Amstelle armchair is one of several pieces of furniture in the Amstelle family, which consists of chairs, armchairs and poufs, all designed by Khodi Feiz. Taking inspiration from the ebb and flow reminiscent of meandering rivers, particularly the Amstel in the Netherlands, the Amstelle family gained its own distinct signature. The Amstelle series fits equally well into public and private spaces. The Amstelle armchair is available with a 4-star swivel base in aluminium, steel legs and wooden legs in oak or ash and is available in several different surface treatments. Caryngo was a rare collaboration between Carl Malmsten and Yngve Ekström, two of the biggest names in Swedish furniture design. It came in 1955 and Malmsten was responsible for the basic design while Ekström was responsible for the detail work, and the first versions went under the name "Model Yngve". The chair was then named Caryngo, which can be derived from an merge of the designers' names, Carl and Yngve. A unique piece of furniture in all its thoughtful simplicity, with a rich history and strong identity. Duality is an interpretation of Yngve's classic piece made by father and son, Gert & Rasmus Wingårdh, studio Wingårdh & Wingårdh. Duality - a contrast between two aspects, a dualism. What happens when a maximalist meets a minimalist? When macro design meets micro design? When an architect and a fashion designer meet outside their usual area of expertise. Duality is a tribute to the shapes of Lamino. Where Gert and Rasmus chose to highlight the already existing. With a light and a dark color setting, a contrast and a dynamic is created.
