A defining feature of Yang is its particular “Offset” elements with the backrest offset from the seat, and which, along with its ottomans and Close side tables, add to its versatility. The various elements can be combined in a multitude of ways thanks to the ottomans which can be placed in various positions: to either extend the seating or to provide a practical table-like surface. The rigorous architectural concept of the Yang seating system is also strengthened by the design of the base: the front section is a simple Pewter-colored aluminum bar, a finish that lends flexibility to the Yang seating system when interpreting the most different styles. The Yang headrest is specifically designed to offer vertical support and encourages the right posture when reading and relaxing. The fine “Cambré” stitching has been used here too, for a functional element that is not only something to lean on but also an extra touch that gives an added value to the sofa.
Seymour

Seymour was conceived of the idea to create a seating system that maintains a distinctly formal precision while surrendering to the desire for curved lines in an elegant succession of soft, inviting volumes. In clear contrast to the strictly geometric shapes that distinguish the Yang seating system, the Seymour sofa expresses a softly feminine comfort and sensual elegance, drawing its inspiration from a dynamic, sinuous architectural language. The system comprises linear and curved seating elements with a one-piece seat cushion matched with foam seat backs in two heights that form three-dimensional curves and make it possible to create both fixed sofas as well as linear or corner sectional compositions that correspond more closely to either a more classical or contemporary concept of living space. The curved elements emphasize Seymour’s soft, sinuous lines and its open invitation to mingle and be shared. When placed facing one another, Seymour sofas become the star players in the entire living area and engage in lively interaction with the Catlin and Joy “Jut Out” coffee tables. Particular to Lounge Seymour are the one-piece seat cushions embellished with subtle top stitching which allow for the creation of unique, asymmetrical compositions. The sofa sits on die-cast aluminum Pewter-colored feet, an exclusive design by Minotti Studio, that are set at a 45° angle to the sofa corners, lending added flair, even to larger-sized compositions. To make the White sofa even more welcoming, the padding in the cushions was enhanced with a deeper layer of goose down, making them luxuriously soft and creating a pleasant contrast to the sleek formality of the sofa base.

The Allen sofa is a perfect example of what Minotti means by “sofa”: an object defined by its smooth lines and proportions, its added height from the floor, and the functionality of its dimensions, without sacrificing soft lines and rounded shapes, especially where the arms are concerned. Even though it’s a product of design, Allen is certainly not lacking in comfort, thanks to the high back that offers total support for the back and the head. Internal padding of the arms and back is molded, while the reversible seat cushion is covered in goose down. The feet, made of molded, die cast aluminium, describe a sinuous line, proof that the classical concept is inherent to Minotti’s DNA. Spotlight on feet: made of die cast aluminium, in Pewter colour (a shade created by Minotti Studio) they have sinuous lines and classic structure, in both proportions and materials. Molded, they are the result of technological research and reinforce the association between Minotti and uniqueness. In terms of foot placement, they’re seen in profile when the sofa is viewed from the front, while the flat surface is visible when the sofa is viewed from the back or side. A totally new design concept: unlike traditional chaise longues that form the end unit of a seating composition, this element already possesses a “hint” of the sofa in its shape. Thanks to its “L-shaped” design, it foreshadows the sofa and carries it forward. Minotti also solves the problem of overlapping feet in the corner, and preserves the purity of design.
