The Engobe technique—a nod to clay’s natural beauty—seals the ceramic’s porous structure while refining and coating it with a thin mineral layer. The shade elegantly encases an opaque, mouth-blown glass diffuser, casting a warm, ambient glow. A reinforced textile cable in light grey completes the design. On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of this milestone, Santa & Cole reintroduced it into its catalogue and adapted it for the HeadLED System (Delta de Oro, 2013), providing it with the best light efficiency and quality.In 2023, Santa & Cole commissions Barcelona-based colourist and artist Claudia Valsells for a chromatic study of this lamp, culminating in eight new colours that reveal a new visual and emotional perception of the M64.
