Vertigo is a pendant light formed of two elements: a simple horizontal beam with a linear array of LED light acts as an up and downlighter, with a vertical strap that holds the fixture in balance. It is this simple attachment, suggesting the hoisting of a structural beam, that evokes the iconic images of the steel construction of skyscrapers in 1930s New York City captured by photographer Charles C. Ebbets.There is no separate ceiling rose – the driver is fully integrated into the structure of the pendant and the two pendant rods carry the electrical current, removing any need for wires that might visually obstruct the design. The light intelligently operates through a touch-sensitive dimmer in the middle of the horizontal beam.Vertigo is produced in aluminium, powder coated in either black or white. All rights reserved.<br/><br/>In 1988 and 1989, Arad's London »One Off« work shop created an entire series of »Big Easy« armchairs using bent sheet steel welded at the edges. The »Big Easys« were brought out as individual items or small limited series; they all had a striking basic form and inflated arms reminiscent of comics – but they differed in terms of the welding and color. In the course of time, the initially oarse, roughly welded »Big Easys« went through changes, first becoming colorful lacquered chairs with smooth surfaces and then elegant versions made of polished stainless steel. <br/><br/>Although Ron Arad's furniture are variants on everyday things, they seem strange and irritate the eye – not only owing to the choice of material. Formally and functionally speaking, they undermine customary assumptions. You feel you have to first learn how to use them. A »Big Easy's« voluminous steel body of the »Big Easy« resembles a traditional upholstered club armchair but can hardly be associated with a sense of comfortable interiors. Ron Arad considered it an art object that could likewise be functional, but was not intended to be particularly practical.

This timeless set of original pendants designed for and installed in the Hotel Praha, a prominent architectural project completed during the 1980’s. Although presenting the best of contemporary design, the hotel was later torn down despite civic efforts to preserve it as a cultural monument. These lights are among the few remaining artifacts. Libensky used varying thicknesses of glass to create a play of rays and shadows on the fixtures themselves as well as the surrounding interiors. Amassing fixtures in a variety of shapes and heights enables diverse effects from a fireball look to more delicate forms resembling a kaleidoscope.

The Ecotrust felt backings are produced from recycled water bottles. An innovative production technique turns bottles into a soft yet strong PET felt material that is long lasting and has great acoustic performance. At Ege Carpets we use regenerated and regenerable yarns produced from used fishing nets. Once the fishing nets are collected and cleaned, they are physically and chemically broken down and reborn as strong and hardwearing yarns for carpets.

Fienile, a table lamp inspired by the image of simple rural haylofts in Norway, featuring a low pitched roof and central/lateral walls in satin-finish anodized aluminium. A work of micro-architecture that projects soft, warm light from above onto a lower surface, giving rise to unusual compositions of brightness and shadow. The light slides along the lateral walls with a wall-washer effect, created by the LED sources with dimmers, by means of a touch function.

London – an eternal source of inspiration to Tom Dixon Available in 48x48 cm, 96x96 cm and 24x96 cm. Industrial Landscape mirrors the original London with all the raw, sometimes even rough, elements making up the city. Aged and patinated by the passage of time, through which the weather, people and industry have left their marks on the materials and thereby created a continuous development of new expressions. This is the essence of Industrial Landscape. Introducing the new designs, Coal and Iron, the collection interprets two important industrial pillars. While Coal reflects the dark and mysterious substance that powered the Industrial Revolution, the Iron design imitates the gradual disintegration of the oxidized metal surface that generates a random hued patination. Besides that, the collection consists of five other patterns: The Smoke design visualises the fumes from factories and workshops, while Wash is inspired by the white paste that temporarily covers shop windows during renovation. In Blur, the distorted city reflects in transient bits of water, while Tide shows the ever-changing sediments of the tidal River Thames.

Mosaïque: a tribute to Maison Picassiette, a house entirely made of mosaic fragments. Croisillon: inspired by cane weaving. Patterns used by the Crafties are indicative of a fascination for printing techniques found in micropublishing, in particular: risographs. The technique involves the application of successive layers (just one colour per layer) that are added atop each other to reveal the final pattern.
