The "shape of light" is the central theme of this project by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, which began with the Equatore family of lamps, presented in 2017 and now expanded to include other finishes, and continues with the new Meridiano and Tropico. Forms of glass and metal that collect, contain and diffuse light in space. Passing between opaline, coloured and transparent layers, emphasised by the refined curves and the magic of blown glass, the light is free to create surprising and fascinating effects, patterns and moods. In the new Meridiano lamp, the vertical cylindrical tube contains and diffuses the light in the transparent glass capsule, which defines its refined ovoid shape. Two materials: metal and glass, as in the historic tradition of FontanaArte. The metal acts as a base and contains the light source while the glass, the true protagonist of the project, is expertly worked by skilled craftsmen in a process of fusion between a portion of transparent glass and a satin one from which the light diffuses. Fontanella is formed by the union of two glasses: the internal tube is threaded, sandblasted and finally joined with the bubble-shaped blown glass. What makes the processing particularly refined is the manual joining of the two parts, which requires the skillful technique of a craftsman. Furthermore, the glass, which has always been the material par excellence of the FontanaArte product, is the most crystalline on the market. The use of light bulbs, dimmable and not dimmable, for the biggest energy saving, complete the contemporaneity of this FontanaArte piece.

Two materials: metal and glass, as in the historic tradition of FontanaArte. The metal acts as a base and contains the light source while the glass, the true protagonist of the project, is expertly worked by skilled craftsmen in a process of fusion between a portion of transparent glass and a satin one from which the light diffuses. Fontanella is formed by the union of two glasses: the internal tube is threaded, sandblasted and finally joined with the bubble-shaped blown glass. What makes the processing particularly refined is the manual joining of the two parts, which requires the skillful technique of a craftsman. Furthermore, the glass, which has always been the material par excellence of the FontanaArte product, is the most crystalline on the market. The use of light bulbs, dimmable and not dimmable, for the biggest energy saving, complete the contemporaneity of this FontanaArte piece.

Lou 2020

A combination of fine cabinet-making and high-end technology, the Lou 2020 sideboards blend exquisite craftsmanship with an updated look, featuring new materials, colours and structural details. The Lou family, designed in 2017 by Christophe Delcourt and now revisited, includes a series of elements for the various areas of the home, such as the living sideboard and its TV console table version, and the dining, bar and night sideboards. A combination of fine cabinet-making and high-end technology, their common denominators are their use of precious materials, such as Stone Grey marble, and the refined workmanship of the glossy Mud colour lacquer finish on the doors and back, and the matt Mud colour finish on the sides, while the base is in Pewter colour metal. While maintaining the same precious, stylish details, they are a lighter version of the original, also in the new design of the legs, with square section. The French designer has changed the rules of perception, adding hidden functions to offer a contemporary take on the meuble à secret of the antique tradition from the past. In this way, the console table features an interplay of drawers, the bar sideboard a concealed compartment covered in shiny steel, the classic sideboard a series of doors and drawers. Elements revealed when used on a daily basis, where every detail leads to the discovery of others.

Sliding, folding and tumbling into chaos, the fractures build a new structure and the seas wash the minerals into weeping colours. During the landslide, the Earth buries its face and then reveals a new beauty. In Mark of Time, the tilted, chaotic and organic elements come together to define two co-ordinating patterns, Bedrock and Landslide, that can be used alone or combined to give a soft or dramatic expression to the floorscape. Minerals including jet, lapis and serpentine have inspired the colour palette of tone-on-tone neutrals complemented by darker shades that create either a subtle or powerful yet refined look.
