The Tondina family, designed by Favaretto&Partners, fills with elegance and delicacy with the arrival of Tondina Fat. The rounded shapes of the new armchair recall those of the chair of the same name, and wink at the models of the past, with the addition of contemporary design and materials. The frame, strengthened by a new 22 mm rod, delicately supports the seat and backrest; the latter have a generous 6 cm padding, which invites you to sit down and gives the seat a well-proportioned and welcoming look. Tondina Fat is versatile and can be adapted to many contexts, from elegant dining rooms to offices and waiting areas. The wide range of fabrics and colors available, combined with numerous frame finishes, allow for countless unusual combinations. The Tondina Fat collection consists of a small armchair with or without armrests, and a stool in bar and kitchen heights.

In the small alleyways of the small French country villages (the so-called “ruelles”) is typical having a seat on the traditional bistrot and brasserie chairs, which have been revisited by Philippe Tabet in a contemporary way. Ruelle won the fourth edition of the infiniti Design Context. It is a chair with a die-cast alluminium structure and extruded alluminium legs. Thanks to its shape and its features, Ruelle can be used for bars and restaurants, and also in outdoor contexts. Lightness and warmth collide in this indoor version, which comes also upholstered for increased comfort.

Feluca

Feluca

infinitidesign > Chair

The feluca (“becorn hat” in English) is an ancient headgear used in the eighteenth century and characterized by two downward curved extremities. It is no coincidence if BrogliatoTraverso has chosen this name for this new chair, since its backrest has a shape that strongly reminds of it. This particular design gives a sense of movement to its profile, erasing any rigidity and enhancing harmony and refinement.

Two kanji characters, “taku” meaning “skillful” and “mi” meaning “to see”, give rise to the ancient Japanese name Takumi, meaning one who has “talent in the field of craftsmanship and technology”. And it is from this encounter between the industrial world and the creativity of craftsmanship that ‘Takumi’ was born, a collection of upholstered chairs where the circular design combined with the minimalism that hark back to bygone eras. The development of this new line, designed by Studio Dessì, is based on the perfect balance between aesthetics and comfort; the steel tubes of the structure seem to interconnect in a way similar to Escher’s optical illusions as they accommodate soft upholstered elements that can be disassembled and restyled. Available with or without armrests, Takumi is an armchair designed for use in the HoReCa industry, but can also be used in more intimate settings. The wide range of fabrics and the steel frame, which can be painted in different colours, work well together to create refined or pop versions depending on taste or the interior.

The design of Skol, at first glance, brings back memories of times long gone by, sedimented in the collective memory. In fact, the peculiar shapes and the delicate, timeless structure bring to mind the school chairs, coupled with the desks where each person’s experiences took place during the years of childhood and adolescence. The new Skol emerges from the educational environment, while maintaining the reassuring and evocative sensations that have guided Needs Studio’s creative thinking: the general aesthetic simplicity, given by the 25 mm round steel tube structure, contrasts with the refined details, such as the delicate support of the seat and backrest to the frame, supported by the classic rivet fastening, creating a play of lightness and sinuosity. The soft and welcoming yet robust shapes intersect in a play of full and empty spaces, in which absolute comfort and a distinctly retro style with contemporary influences win out. Skol is available with or without armrests, with seat and back in oak plywood and the chromed or painted frame. Its versatility makes it ideal for numerous uses: it is perfect for cafés, bars, restaurants, bistros, but also for meeting rooms and coworking areas.
