Horizonte

minotti > Sofa
A floating island with square lines that marks the horizon of the living space. The new system by Marcio Kogan / studio mk27 takes shape from a suspended base, a solid thin line covered in leather, fabric or both, on which generous volumetric padded elements rest. Perfectly consistent with Marcio Kogan's design philosophy, the Horizonte modular seating system is the result of a clear architectural vision: a rigorous shape, raised seven centimetres off the ground thanks to a recessed plinth in matt black varnished metal, which gives the sofa a special feeling of suspension. A platform on which the upholstered elements are located - seats, backrests and armrests - all conceived as large cushions with bold proportions and a strong personality. It is not only the dimensions that characterise these modules, but also their unprecedented softness, capable of maintaining a precise formal aesthetic, despite their welcoming sinkable effect. Comfort is in fact guaranteed by an innovative technology that uses pocketed springs inserted in variable-density polyurethanes that allow the memory of the shapes to be maintained and the seat to return to its original form, modelling itself to the shape of the user. The base on which the upholstered volumes rest is made from a clever combination of materials: entirely in leather or fabric or in an original mix of both to create an even more refined and prestigious look. In the fabric version, the two strips are coupled with a zip, hidden by a creased seam, presented as an aesthetic motif that allows for the practical and quick removal of the covering. On the other hand, in the base entirely covered in leather, the covering is lapped: refined and inspired by the world of haute couture, this production technique means that the strips of leather are sewn together by folding back the edges. The seemingly simple appearance of Horizonte gives rise to a sophisticated style code that can be used in a wide range of configurations. By combining modules, sloping elements and others with built-in coffee table, an overall narrative that could continue forever without interruption is created. For some elements, the base under the upholstered elements juts out from the seat cushion to accommodate a shelf, available in different sizes and configurations. Like a full stop in punctuation, the module is inserted between the seats, enriched by a top attached to the base of the sofa: this does not interrupt the fluidity of the shape, adding a multifunctional top in Dark Brown stained Canaletto walnut, Liquorice lacquered ash, Calacatta and Grigio Orobico marble, or smoothed matt Nero Marquina and brushed Belvedere granite. In addition to the top, interspersed between the cushions, the Horizonte family also includes coffee tables and a side table. The latter has been designed in perfect aesthetic continuity with the Horizonte seating system, from which it takes both the detail of the matt black varnished metal base and the thickness of the top: a horizontal groove engraved on the solid wood bullnose edge recalls the same concept of geometry used in the base. The coffee and side tables also reflect the same style, with floor support in polished Bronze varnished metal and tops in Dark Brown stained Canaletto walnut or Liquorice coloured ash. The different sizes and heights of the coffee and side tables allow for a play of superimpositions that invigorates the horizontality of the entire family.
Goodman

minotti > Sofa
A detail that becomes volume is the essence of Goodman, the modular seating system by Rodolfo Dordoni. The 1970s inspiration behind this design is the strong graphic character of those years, and its ability to stratify and cross marks, reducing the complexity into a few distinctive features. Thus, in Goodman the matelassé stitching, typical of Minotti's tailoring processes, draws shadows and light on the seat, creating the sensation of a quilted cross-padding. Compactness and softness come together in the same concept, making it suitable for environments that inspire extreme relaxation and spaces conceived for a more formal use. The more traditional linear configurations are joined by more dynamic compositions with curved and tilted elements, the latter characterised by pronounced angles with widths of 30, 75 and 90 degrees. Unexpected rounded shapes that also give a sinuous aesthetic to the compositions created along with the linear modules, for a brand new way of furnishing the living space. A flexible, ever-evolving system, inspired by the most diverse human needs and tastes, as well as the constant transformations of contemporary living. The volume of the one-piece seat is particularly ergonomic and comfortable thanks to the innovative technology used: the system of pocket springs is combined with a layer of polyurethane padding in layered densities to give a consistent sensation of softness and cosiness. Goodman is lifted off the floor by refined Bronze or Polished Chrome metal feet set back from the edge, combined with a frame in the same finishes. A contoured tray covered in saddle-hide clings perfectly to the volume of the armrest just like a saddle, also making the seating system fully versatile, since the cushioning can be turned into a functional coffee table, always at hand.
Twiggy

minotti > Sofa
Designed by Rodolfo Dordoni, Twiggy is the family of seats that stands out for its ability to revolutionise living spaces with an unprecedented ideal of timeless beauty. Twiggy presents itself with different elements, always distinguished by Minotti's sophisticated sartorial taste. The family originated as a single armchair in the Small, Large and Deep versions, with and without armrests, but embellished with stitching that reveals the depth of the brand's manufacturing know-how combined with its great ability to make even the most sculptural seats extremely comfortable. In addition to the armchair, the range includes benches, couches, a chaise-longue and a dormeuse, which can be used as elegant individual elements to be freely inserted into the living room, creating a modular system that can be modelled as desired with the greatest of ease. A new aggregative language is born: free from schemes and preconfigurations, capable of adapting to needs in continuous evolution. The Twiggy seating elements have rigorous geometric shapes but are extremely comfortable and enveloping, covered in leather, nubuck or fabric and embellished with refined stitching. The curved, dynamic design of the base, made of brushed semi-polished aluminium or aluminium with a Black Coffee colour polished varnish, is one of the details that contribute to making these seats unique and destined to redefine the concept of style.
Sendai

minotti > Sofa
Named after the city of trees, Sendai, this line of furnishing pieces consists of a small sofa, an armchair, a lounge armchair and dining and lounge little armchairs. Like slender trunks, the elegant, polished legs, in Canaletto walnut solid wood stained Light Brown, or Licorice lacquered ash, rest on the ground, lifting the enveloping upholstered body and creating a soft rhythm of vertical lines. The possibility of having the armchair, the dining little armchair and the lounge armchair also in the 360° swivel version with return (base in polished Bronze-coloured varnished metal, with sheathed spokes in solid ash with an open-pore Licorice-coloured lacquer, or in solid Canaletto walnut with Light Brown stain) makes the Sendai seats particularly comfortable for both residential and hospitality environments. The compact and well-proportioned silhouette of both the seats and the small sofa, opens up to a new way of using the dining space: as a living room within the living room, a hybrid situation, such as when dinner is served on a large table, while guests meet and socialise round a lounge table. A new, more intimate way of opening up new visual and proportional horizons of the living space, both in homes and in hospitality venues. In 2023, the elegant and airy Sendai family of seats expands, with a new enveloping sofa, a comfortable swivel armchair with armrests and a footstool. The design of the armchair, with its upholstered frame resting on a 360° swivel base with return mechanism, also stems from the desire to have a larger seat whose comfort is ensured by a higher backrest and the presence of comfortable armrests, perfect for ensuring a satisfying sensation of relaxation, especially when used in combination with the footrest.
Lars

minotti > Sofa
A Danish name for a line with a clearly Japanese-inspired design: this contradiction brings to life the harmonious shapes of the Lars sofa, designed by Japanese-Scandinavian duo Inoda+Sveje. A soft, asymmetrical, continuous, organic curve resting on five slender legs in solid ash wood with an open-pore Licorice stained lacquer or in Canaletto walnut with a Light Brown stain. The architecture of this object, raised off the ground, rises above the seat to support and frame the backrest, lending an aerial elegance to this sofa proposed by Minotti for both residential and hospitality projects. The solid wood frame is enhanced by details that embellish the joints and highlight the complex cabinet-making process behind its apparently simple lines. The balance between the vertical wooden profiles and the softness of the edgeless forms, characterised by a seat upholstered in high-density polyurethane, translate the synthesis between Danish design and Zen harmony. The frame and cushions have fully removable covers in both fabric and leather versions.
Lido

minotti > Sofa
The welcoming nest shape of the Lido family of seats by Italian-Danish duo GamFratesi is the hallmark of its design. The curved silhouette that outlines the body on which the padding of the seat sits now also comes in a two-seater sofa version: a compact furnishing piece, ideal for both home and Hospitality spaces. The design, inspired by the 1950s, recalls the typical stylistic marks of Brutalist architectures, here softened by the masterful use of textured fabrics and comfortable, ergonomic cushions. The volume of the sofa is raised from the ground by four solid wood legs, in Moka-coloured open-pore ash or Canaletto walnut with a Dark Brown stained veneer. Alternatively, it can rest on the iconic X-shaped aluminium base with Moka-coloured open-pore ash finish, imbuing this object with timeless beauty and making it easy to pair with the other furnishing pieces in the collection. The base and legs are enhanced by an interesting decorative insert in Bronze-coloured varnished steel at the top of the legs. The two-seater sofa completes the Lido family, which includes armchairs, ottomans, lounge armchair and dining little armchair - only with legs in solid wood - and coffee tables that sit on the iconic X-shaped base, with round or square top in Bianconero marble or ash wood with a Moka open-pore lacquered finish.
Roger

minotti > Sofa
As a site-specific installation, tailor-made on each occasion to suit its hosting venue based on the specific requests of its commissioning agent, the Roger seating system is the result of an open design, created to be composed with imagination and personalised with style. Exceptionally versatile, it is designed to meet the full range of requirements in terms of layout and use. Its eclectic character makes it capable of intercepting a variety of taste categories and it boasts an extensive range offering endless design solutions. Roger is designed by Rodolfo Dordoni and was developed in collaboration with Minotti, whose imprint is visible in its soft volumes, sophisticated upholstery and sartorial craftsmanship. The system is comprised of three types of elements: Roger Suite, with cushioned seat and a depth of 101 cm; Roger Spring, a monobloc seat of the same depth, with an internal insert in pocket springs that ensure shape retention of the seat, fully quilted on the surface; finally, Roger Spring Sofà, the armless version with a depth of just 94 cm. The elements can be freely customised with high and low backrests, different types of armrests and the option of adding elements functioning as tops and containers, jutting out at the back, or at the end, next to the seat. A system, or rather a super system, capable of creating countless interpretations and configurations, for both residential and hospitality spaces. Roger features a customised base in profiled aluminium with a Black Coffee-coloured varnished finish, which supports the padded elements and the Case volumes in Dark Brown stained palisander Santos, in open-pore Black lacquered ash veneer or with a lacquered finish in the colours Ice, Cappuccino or Moka, and a front or side open storage compartment, lined with Brandy-coloured satin-finish aluminium. Two cross blades in Black Coffee-coloured varnished aluminium make the join almost invisible and elevate it 13 cm above the floor, giving the seats an airy aesthetic. The couture-like skills used in the crafting process are expressed in the graphic quilting effect, sporting long horizontal lines that run along the backrests, the seating elements and the matching benches, endowing the surfaces with a super soft, luxurious feel. In addition to special back-to-back pieces, characterised by a single trapezoidal backrest, and chaise-longues with and without the Case element, the family includes many benches of different sizes, also available with or without the Case element.
Brasilia

minotti > Sofa
Brasilia, designed by Marcio Kogan / studio mk27, has an ultra-precise, contemporary, minimal style, rooted in Brazilian modernism. Minotti has successfully incorporated Kogan’s stylistic trademarks into the 2021 Collection, blending their charm with that of the overall design concept. A family of furniture with a highly innovative profile that reinterprets shapes from the past, transforming their apparent simplicity into a form of real beauty that conceals an intricately complex design concept: by juxtaposing different materials with strong powers of expression, it offers a new take on the distinctive style that identifies the Minotti brand. A design that looks to the future, made to stand the test of time and become a new classic. The family hosts a range of seats for different environments, from the living to the night area, including sofas, elements with one armrest, an armchair and ottoman, and a varied selection for the bedroom. It is characterised by a Mid-Century aesthetic revisited and modernised not only in its lines and volumes, but also in its use of materials, in particular Dark Brown stained palisander Santos, and in its elegant structural details. In this proposal, the distinctive characteristics of the Minotti brand are clearly visible: it does not focus so much on the design in terms of its shape, but rather on the project’s cultural elements, offering a new take on classic lines, volumes and proportions, and showcasing original new uses of materials. The seats, conceived for the home environment, can also play an original role in hospitality settings, given the wide variety of elements, coverings and configurations to choose from. The strong architectural feel conveyed by the volumes and proportions of Brasilia points to the world of Marcio Kogan, his interiors and architectures, paying tribute to the period of great cultural ferment that swept through Brazil in the 1950s, in which Oscar Niemeyer and Lùcio Costa were prominent figures. The seating elements are enclosed in a square frame in Dark Brown stained palisander Santos, sourced from responsibly managed forests, accommodating a system of even, comfortable padding, offering a comfy, cushioned seat. With their airy look, they rest on metal feet with a polished Brandy finish, a prime example of the continuous and constant interaction of materials exploited by Kogan - wood, metal, fabric, and leather - to evoke warmth and comfort. The Brasilia range comprises two sizes of sofa (196 and 273 cm in length), elements with one armrest in various lengths with and without a top - made of slender staves in Dark Brown stained Canaletto walnut or one piece in Dark Brown stained palisander Santos -, an armchair and a small ottoman.
Belt

minotti > Sofa
The distinctive characteristic and inspiration behind the Belt family, designed in the all-fabric or leather versions, is the idea of a belt that draws the profile of the body, encircling it, then breaking off and fastening on the front of the seat. In particular, in the leather version, the strip is sewn onto a piece of bonded leather to lend support and ensure a consistent thickness: it is applied to the covering as a belt is applied to a dress and an ultra-sophisticated crafting process is required to follow the curved shape of the seat and keep the visible seams perfectly straight and even. With its classic shape, the foam body designs a shell-like, enveloping backrest that welcomes and protects. The seat rests on a die-cast aluminium base with a polished Brandy-coloured anti-touch varnished finish, which enhances the armchair and, in its leather version, recalls the metal finishes of exquisite leather bags. The base is also available in Dark Brown stained Canaletto walnut or Black lacquered open-pore flamed ash. The family consists of a sofa, an armchair, a bergère with footstool, a smaller lounge armchair, and a dining little armchair.
Connery

minotti > Sofa
Contemporary, with a strong architectural appeal and pure lines reminiscent of the Mid-Century American spirit, the Connery seating system sports an exquisite aesthetic and design that instantly catch the eye. The clever combination of fine materials and sophisticated details adds a hint of couture to its design. An extremely versatile seating system, in terms of both composition and combination of materials, Connery has a distinctive personality also expressed in the pairing of original square and round chaise-longues. With its geometric rigour, the base creates an original contrast with the softness of the seat, conceived as a single cushion punctuated by light stitching defining the width of the seat - 83 or 68 cm - and with the structure of the backrest and armrest, covered in channelled goose down padding. The backrest and armrest form a single volume, with a 45° split in the corner. As well as the fabric covering, the padded structural base can also feature a covering with strips of leather, crafted with the same technique used in fine leather luggage-crafting. References to the concept of high-end leather goods are also found in the headrests and the elegant “C”-shaped Flap surfaces, which seamlessly blend into the seating elements, animating the compositions with a vibrant rhythm. The structural base is raised from the ground on thin blades in extruded aluminium in a Brandy polished varnished finish, positioned at the front, giving the sofa an appealing and airy look, and recalling the metal parts of trunks and suitcases. The Flap shelves reiterate the strip design of the structural base and make the system functional, offering stylish, surfaces on which to place objects. Covered in leather or Moka ash veneer, they dialogue harmoniously with the textures of the covering. The leather bands of the structural base, sewn together with straps and marked out by stitching that add rhythm to the design, are made with the same technique used in fine leather luggage-crafting. The same concept of high-end leather goods also inspires the freely adjustable headrests. The well-structured, customisable range, offering many different compositional options, in addition to longer square chaise-longues, also includes circular elements, which can be positioned near the sofa as atolls.
Torii

minotti > Sofa
Airy, with constructive details linked to Japanese tradition, the Torii modular seats play with round edged volumes, thin profiles and the apparent formal simplicity of an extremely detailed design. The metal structure of the legs of the seats and tables is Nendo’s nod to the image of the “torii”, the entrance gate to Shinto shrines in Japan. With an interlocking game, the horizontal elements are laid on the vertical supports, ensuring a sophisticated visual lightness that accommodates the padded volume, characterised by couture craftsmanship. The Torii family includes sofas - with high or low backrest and a linear shape, rounded at the arms - inclined sofas with a combination of two different depths, armchairs and lounge and dining little armchairs, ottomans, coffee tables, and a slender, oval-shaped console table, ideal for placing anywhere in the living area. The varied range of products makes it possible to design a flexible layout, in which the individual elements can also be combined to create a strong visual unity. The metal frame found in the components of the Torii family evokes the image of the “Senbon Torii, the wooden colonnade that forms a gallery made up of 1,000 vermilion torii gates”, as Nendo reminds us. The slim backrest features vertical quilting and a piping running along the perimeter of the cushioning, underlining the couture quality of the craftsmanship. The eco-leather and eco-nubuck piping is in a slightly contrasting colour, but in the same shade as the fabric, if combined with a textile covering, whereas the leather versions come in the same shade when combined with leather upholstery. All the upholstered elements of the system can be customised by choosing the covering: 100% fabric or leather, or in fabric with a leather base. The seats can be accessorised with leather magazine caddy, crafted with fine luggage-crafting techniques and enriched with the same metal details as the base. The end of the horizontal metal element of the legs is designed so that it almost holds the backrest and seat, recalling the Kigumi technique, borrowed from the Japanese tradition of wood construction. A small decorative disk with Black-Nickel finish, in the form of a jewel-like button located at the end, adds a precious detail to the ensemble, and creates a series of contrasts with the Bronze colour varnished metal finish of the legs. The armchairs and swivel armchairs in the form of a perfect circle were designed to meet a variety of requirements, both in terms of functionality and ergonomics, available in a range of different types. The seats - in the Bergère, Large, Medium and Small versions - and the Dining, Dining Large and Lounge little armchairs are the result of the in-depth research carried out to find the best way to express the sophisticated simplicity of the craftsmanship. The base is available in leather or fabric. The extension of the base of some elements features a top in Calacatta or Stone Grey marble with a matt polyester lacquer finish, crafted with a careful study of its proportions, thickness and structural details so that it blends seamlessly into the seat, also from an aesthetic point of view. The Small armchair is also available in the Torii Nest version with braided leather backrest and a pattern inspired by Vienna straw, inserted in a solid ash wood frame that sits on a base in the same material. The Torii coffee tables also feature the same structural style details as the seats, reflected in the metal frame with Bronze colour varnished finish and details in Black-Nickel metal. Available in different sizes, ranging up to an impressive diameter of 120 cm, and different heights, they feature a top in Calacatta or Stone Grey marble with matt polyester finish, in Black pâte de verre or in Liquorice colour brushed ash wood, enclosed by a Liquorice colour matt lacquered frame.
Blazer

minotti > Sofa
A virtuous combination of its design appeal, visible in the rigorous geometry of its volumes, and the haute couture approach exemplified by its precise, meticulous sartorial craftsmanship, Blazer is one of the creations that best expresses the most authentic artisanal attitude of Minotti. All the surfaces of the elements feature stitching, designing evenly-spaced bands on the covering of the base, cushions, armrests and backrest, and creating a quilting effect that identifies its look and instantly provides a sensation of comfort. The system includes seats with a depth of 108 cm and chaise-longue elements with a depth of 143 cm - with high and low backrests and armrests. The system is complemented by a series of cushions in different sizes and headrests, which can be freely positioned, decorating the seats and offering maximum comfort. The wide range, comprising sofas with strong character as well as modular elements, allows for the creation of original configurations, freely customisable thanks to the extensive choice of elements and exclusive coverings available. The compositions can be mixed and matched with the complements of the 2020 Collection - coffee tables, console tables, benches and armchairs - that pleasantly interrupt the symmetry and contribute to designing living areas with a bold personality. Blazer expresses a brand new style, mixing the high sartorial matelassé effect crafting technique, which qualifies it as an exclusive, sophisticated product, distinguishable due its exceptional quality, with a contemporary look characterised by clean, minimal lines. The key feature of the design is the backrest with rounded internal corners, which creates a comfortable, enveloping niche, transforming the chaise-longue element with high backrest and armrest into a particularly welcoming alcove.
Mattia

minotti > Sofa
Mattia is inspired by the reinterpretation of a creative sign from the early Seventies, offering a modern take on a design from the Minotti archive. The finely contoured shell accommodates the seat, opening up like a corolla to host the original roller feature of the backrest. Formal solutions reminiscent of sculptures and the balance between the rigid structure and the suspended volume give life to seats with a soft, enveloping look. The family comprises a three-seater sofa, an armchair and swivel lounge armchair, available with leather shell and fabric upholstered seat and backrest, or with total fabric or leather covering. Conceived as precious details to streamline and lighten the design, the steel feet jetting out from underneath sport a Black-Nickel finish. The swivel base of the lounge armchair is available in the same finish. The Mattia coffee tables, characterised by clean lines and by the same protruding steel feet that distinguish the seats, reinterpret in a contemporary way volumes and design sign of the early Seventies. A series of round, rectangular and square coffee tables in different sizes and heights, available in three versions: with top in Calacatta marble or Black pâte de verre - inserted in a frame in brushed ash wood featuring a Liquorice colour lacquered finish - or entirely in brushed ash wood with Liquorice colour lacquered finish. The coffee tables sit on steel legs with a Black-Nickel finish.
Daniels

minotti > Sofa
Comparable to a landscape design project, where carefully plotted combinations of elements create a new domestic scenery, the Daniels seating system redesigns the living areas with brand new compositions, in which regular curves and ellipses interrupt the linearity of the layouts, imbuing them with a more dynamic momentum. Innovative and truly original, it is at its most striking when paired with the Amber low units, creating solutions with a strong visual impact that pass seamlessly from the soft feel of the seats to the harder feel of the containers and from more geometric shapes to an extraordinary combination of curves. The chairs are designed based on the concepts of full modularity and maximum comfort, and feature a single cushion. The vast design system also includes decisively large chaise-longue couches with curved seating areas. The frame of the back, and the combination of two different depths produces an effect in which the backrests appear to overlap, creating movement at the back which dispels the perception of the sofa as a continuous screen when set in the centre of the room, as well as making it possible to add the Clive console, which further accentuates its motion. Instead, the “offset” version, where the backrest juts out from the side of the seat, easily accommodates the Amber ottoman or low unit, creating a different compositional solution. The system offers an alternative to the fixed armrest, in the form of a removable ottoman, in leather or fabric, on wheels. Its natural position is alongside the sofa, attached using magnets, but it can be moved and used as an additional chair or surface, or, if positioned opposite the seat, as a natural extension of the same. The ottomans can also be attached to the end of the Amber low units. Daniels is available in two versions: all-fabric or all-leather, and in a third combined option with base and armrest in leather and cushion in fabric, flaunting a harmonious mix of the textures and colours of the exclusive Minotti textile collection. With its design-based, modular, versatile and innovative qualities, Daniels introduces original and unexpected structural details and compositional elements with a dynamic, contemporary rhythm.
West

minotti > Sofa
A faceting effect livens up and interrupts the cubism that sets the morphology of the West system apart from the clichés of modern design. Characterised by its suitability for use in a wide range of different contemporary and traditional arrangements, West also features glints of pure creativity, such as the chaise-longue, available in pentagonal or hexagonal form and the elements that stand out for their striking backrests in saddle hide, ergonomically shaped to rise and support the rear cushion. True elements of surprise, they break up the compositional layout, creating a stylistic point of interest, and interrupting the continuous effect of the fabric covering, visually lightening the volume at the rear. A solution designed to optimise both look and form, created with the know-how about design and the savoir-faire associated with fine tailoring that have always distinguished the Minotti brand. Every element of the system is made with exquisite goose down padding to ensure maximum comfort, features cushions finished with a piping that defines their profile and a distinctive aluminium strip, slightly rounded at the edges which skims the floor, in a brand new polished Brandy colour finish. West leaves plenty of room for interesting compositional possibilities: it enters a harmonious dialogue in terms of both colour and shape with the Amber coffee tables, is complemented by the Side coffee tables, with their frame in saddle hide that evokes that of the backrest and enhanced by the Clive consoles, which play around with surfaces, even setting one over another. The combination of the two looks of West, one with backrest in saddle hide and the other more conventional version with padded backrest and armrest - creates original arrangements and unusual textural and colour pairings, with saddle hide taking centre stage in a range of new, exclusive colours.
Lawson

minotti > Sofa
With the fluid line of its shapes and the equilibrium of its soft volumes, the Lawson seating system explores different types of chairs, offering innovative solutions that push out the traditional style boundaries, ranging from small lounge armchairs to the larger easy chair, and even sofas. The design features a look based on the juxtaposition of materials: on one side there is leather, which follows the curve of the enveloping backrest, in turn becoming an armrest and on the other side there is the fabric of the cushions, with its haute couture feel. The many different layouts of the system, with its interesting range of alternating depths, mean it is perfect for creating both small, intimate spaces, as well as arrangements featuring several elements, all fit to occupy larger spaces with grace. With its natural elegance, Lawson is ideal for residential interiors, but also reveals a strong vocation for the hospitality sector, thanks to its versatile modularity. Sofas and armchairs sit on metal feet with a chrome or polished Pewter finish, a jewel-detail that adds a touch of sophistication to the piece. The wide variety of elements in the Lawson family also includes an armchair with legs in Moka-coloured ash wood or covered in leather, a detail that also characterises the lounge armchair and dining chair. Each piece can be used in a wide range of potential combinations of materials and colours. And while the impression made by Lawson oozes with Seventies style if the arrangement includes pieces with black leather, structured fabric upholstering and feet with a chrome finish, instead, a more decorative spirit shines through if the option chosen features velvet and chenille.
Russell

minotti > Sofa
Recalling the composed style of the Fifties the Russell family consists of a variety of typologies of great appeal that range from the enveloping armchair to the elegant lounge and dining armchairs, the bergère, the soft sofa and the ottoman. The shape takes up vintage lines, modernising them with an incredibly sophisticated silhouette that involves both the seat cushions and the external covering, which comes in fabric or leather, for a combination of textures of great charm. The fixed cross structure in Bronze-coloured metal with the feet sheathed in Moka-shaded oak is a surprising detail that reflects the virtuosity of Minotti in combining different materials. Worked with the company's unique savoir-faire, they highlight its craftsmanship tradition. The revolving versions of the armchair, the bergère and the lounge and dining chairs are instead characterised by a base made of wooden spokes.
Tape

minotti > Sofa
Signed by the eclectic Japanese studio Nendo, directed by Oki Sato, Tape is a collection of seats with a strong personality, characterised by the light silhouette, and consists of a comprehensive range of models: armchair with and without armrests, lounge armchair, bergère, two and three seater sofa and ottoman. With his distinctive ironic approach, the designer overturns the traditional idea of the support feet that come out of the body of the seat, placing them externally to the structure. Tape owes its name to the couture detail, conceived as a piece of ribbon that holds the Bronze-coloured metal feet. A real tribute by Nendo to the sartorial experience of Minotti. The soft curve of the shell, which designs the armrest and that accommodates the soft back cushion, highlights the pure and enveloping line of the armchair. Customizable in a wide range of leather and fabric coverings, it presents two possible sets of pairings. In one version, the fabric covers the back and the seat cushion, while the shell and the tape detail are in leather of the same colour; in the other, the textile envelops the back, the seat cushion and the entire shell, while the tape detail is in Bronze-coloured saddle-hide. With its firm formal identity and its impeccable proportions, Tape becomes the protagonist of the space that welcomes it, both in residential and hospitality contexts.
Albert & Ile

minotti > Sofa
Drawn from the Minotti Archive, the designs of Albert&Ile, a family of seats and a coffee table characterized by their vintage flavour, are thought as a tribute to Alberto, the founder of the company who died in 1991, and Ileana, his wife, currently Honorary President of the company. The family shares the same design of the slender and retro-styled leg but the elements differ in terms of general shape. Albert maintains the 1900-inspired armrests and classic lines reinterpreted by the aesthetics of the Fifties. A decorative front element runs along its entire length and draws the armrest: made of solid wood, it is first covered and then fixed with nails to the main structure. Ile, instead, is closer to the aesthetics of the Sixties. Inspired by classic armchairs and characterised by the hollow shape of its back, it reframes these elements according to the versatility of the forms of the Sixties. A mohair wool velvet, in vibrant colours with shimmering reflections - from Mink to Cobalt, from Blue Ocean to Titanium - is the upholstery that best enhances the two pieces. Albert&Ile have been edited on the occasion of the company's 70th anniversary, testifying the Minotti's DNA which, thanks to its founder, still transmits the importance of manual skills and the know-how of a sophisticated sartorial tailoring.
Lawrence

minotti > Sofa
A seating system with a classic-modern spirit, built upon a clustering of generous yet sleek shapes that describe distinctly horizontal lines. Lawrence embraces its bold, self-assured personality and adds to it an array of pieces that make it extremely versatile and allow for the creation of multi-functional compositions that bring understated elegance to settings that reflect different tastes. Lawrence comes in two versions, with either a high or low armrest. Each one correlates to a different design aesthetic. The high armrest is thinner than the low one which, in addition to being more substantial, is the perfect place to rest the cushion in order to lie comfortably on the sofa. The elegant metal perimeter frame with Black-Nickel finish emphasizes the formal aesthetic of the Lawrence sofa, while a set-back perimeter base in metal alloy with painted black finish supports the sofa and gives it the appearance of floating above the floor. This eminently sophisticated detail also performs the function of protecting the lower part of the sofa. Lawrence is the quintessential expression of bespoke design, a quality inherent to every product the company makes. It takes inspiration from the infinite care that goes into making the finest leather goods. The refined stitching that embellishes the Lawrence seating systems exemplifies refined taste and is the product of highly-skilled artisan craftsmanship that blends technical excellence and an enlightened appreciation of tradition. Savoir faire and creative inspiration produce the highest quality items whose value is enhanced by the use of Cervo leather, a natural, luxurious material, distinguished by extraordinary softness and unmistakable grain.
Lawrence "Clan"

minotti > Sofa
With their well-defined shapes, the "Clan" elements lend themselves to compositions that express a more dynamic and informal interpretation of the living room. The one-piece seats feature stitching in graphic, modern square-shaped designs. This refined tailoring detail epitomizes the company’s skill in drawing upon tradition to bring new vitality to an ancient technique like embroidery, through an unhesitatingly contemporary interpretation of style.
Jacques

minotti > Sofa
The Jacques collection includes sofas, and ottomans available in several sizes, originated from a common design seed that transforms a vaguely retro style into a symbol of absolutely contemporary style. A sophisticated aesthetic language that is expressed in soft shapes, compact proportions and details with striking visual impact, like the metal base with Bronze finish. Elegant stitching emphasizes the curved silhouette of the Jacques armchairs and sofas, whose rounded shapes create a surprising contrast with the more formal, geometric outlines of the Lawrence sofa. All of the seating elements share the enveloping lines that offer a pleasant sensation of welcoming warmth, thanks to the soft cushioning in the seats and backrests. Structural perfection and flawless tailoring underscore the high level of expertise achieved by the company over the years and are the consummate expression of its masterful craftsmanship. The sophisticated elegance and compact proportions inherent in all the Jacques collection seating elements allow them to thrive harmoniously in any setting – from home decor to hospitality – and to be easily paired with the new seating systems. Thanks to its soft seat cushion and backrest padding, the Jacques bergère, available both with fixed and swivel base, with swivel base is extremely comfortable and lends itself to the creation of spaces where relaxation is key. When combined with its ottoman and the Song coffee table that embraces the armchair with its organic shape, it becomes a functional table-top surface for a lamp or to display various kinds of objects. The extensive Jacques family also includes ottomans in various shapes and sizes, all distinguished by an elegant stitched motif and a square decorative button. The metal base with Bronze finish is a detail that lends refined decorative appeal to each piece in the Jacques collection.
Freeman

minotti > Sofa
Innovating interior living space design through a seating system displaying into a variety of elements, with different features, a strong aesthetic identity, elegant proportions and unrivaled comfort. Freeman embodies this dual identity: the Freeman “Duvet” elements feature smooth, enveloping lines and extra-soft cushions that, like a warm embrace, induce a feeling of pure relaxation. Freeman “Duvet” combines soothing design elements and especially sophisticated construction details steeped in tradition that evoke classical modern perfection. The Freeman “Tailor” elements express a different personality, with their more defined shapes and one-piece seats enhanced with top-stitching that accents their graphic nature and contemporary spirit. The wedding of these two spirits makes it possible to create “multitasking” compositions, with a dynamic air that characterize different moments in the day and different ways of using the sofa. The Freeman seating system deservedly takes center stage in any living space, in which to enjoy the intimacy of family or entertain friends in an elegant, yet informal setting. The base of the sofa is finished with an elegant, extruded aluminum frame with rounded edges in a glossy bronze painted finish. The cast aluminum joint fittings located at the corners are a defining detail that lends an air of sophistication to the sofa base. The sofa is raised off the floor on refined metal feet with a glossy bronze painted finish for an effect of overall lightness.
Freeman "Duvet"

minotti > Sofa
Prepare to get cozy on a sofa that offers the pleasant sensation of inviting warmth and comfortable softness. The seat cushions of the Freeman “Duvet” elements have a core insert in polyurethane, wrapped in Memory Foam padding and topped with a layer of soft down. For an overall effect of extreme softness, the entire structure of the Freeman “Duvet” is wrapped in a heat-sealed fiber covering. The armrests and backrests are embellished with a sophisticated stitching motif that is an eloquent expression of the company’s tailoring skills. The pieces in fabric are joined with a strip of bronze-colored eco-leather with a double-stitched pattern that rhythmically emphasizes the volume of the elements. To promote good posture during reading and relaxing, the Freeman “Duvet” elements can be outfitted with a practical headrest designed to provide just the right support, along with the lumbar cushion. Crafted with a metal structure, covered in polyurethane foam, the upper part is padded and finished with elegant stitching. To further enhance the sensation of comfort, the backrests in the Freeman system are outfitted with comfortable lumbar cushions as well as pillow-soft back cushions.
Freeman "Tailor"

minotti > Sofa
With its highly innovative personality, Freeman “Tailor” interprets the current widespread need to create dynamic, differently accessorized islands of relaxation in which to live more intimately - like for reading and chilling out completely, or more social moments like conversing or spending time with family and friends. Freeman “Tailor” is an orderly clustering of shapes, with one-piece seats decorated with elegant stitching that accentuates its graphic, modern personality. The sophisticated tailoring of the upholstery reveals the company’s expertise in executing extremely complex fine-tailoring techniques. The pieces in fabric are assembled using a strip of eco-leather and double-stitched motif that lend a unique sense of depth. Freeman “Tailor” displays a bold personality and a cheerful spirit sufficient to carry the starring role or to co-star when paired with Freeman “Duvet” elements.
Freeman "Lounge"

minotti > Sofa
The status and singularity of the Freeman “Tailor” project are perpetuated in its Freeman “Lounge” extension. The reduced depth of the seats gives Freeman “Lounge” the flexibility to fit easily in residential settings of limited scale as well as in hospitality environments, like waiting rooms, reception areas and corporate offices. One-piece seats, distinguished by decorative stitching that defines a uniform, graphic motif, can be grouped together to form dynamic compositions. The “Wing” armrest displays light lines thanks to the polyurethane foam coated metal structure. The sophisticated tailoring of the upholstery reveals the company’s expertise in executing extremely complex fine-tailoring techniques. The various pieces in fabric are assembled using a strip of bronze color eco-leather and double-stitched seams that lend a distinct sense of depth.
Yang

minotti > Sofa
A young, dynamic seating system where geometric lines form an original mix of soft volumes in an unconventional rhythm of full and empty spaces. The streamlined aesthetic style juxtaposes with the wide freedom of seating arrangements, which makes for very original design ideas. The Yang seating system is intended for a young public and can be used to create soft, cozy domestic islands where you can spend your leisure time indulging in your favorite pastimes or enjoying all-out relaxation. A defining feature of Yang is its particular “Offset” elements with the backrest offset from the seat, and which, along with its ottomans and Close side tables, add to its versatility. The various elements can be combined in a multitude of ways thanks to the ottomans which can be placed in various positions: to either extend the seating or to provide a practical table-like surface. The rigorous architectural concept of the Yang seating system is also strengthened by the design of the base: the front section is a simple Pewter-colored aluminum bar, a finish that lends flexibility to the Yang seating system when interpreting the most different styles. The Yang headrest is specifically designed to offer vertical support and encourages the right posture when reading and relaxing. The fine “Cambré” stitching has been used here too, for a functional element that is not only something to lean on but also an extra touch that gives an added value to the sofa.
Seymour

minotti > Sofa
Seymour was conceived of the idea to create a seating system that maintains a distinctly formal precision while surrendering to the desire for curved lines in an elegant succession of soft, inviting volumes. In clear contrast to the strictly geometric shapes that distinguish the Yang seating system, the Seymour sofa expresses a softly feminine comfort and sensual elegance, drawing its inspiration from a dynamic, sinuous architectural language. The system comprises linear and curved seating elements with a one-piece seat cushion matched with foam seat backs in two heights that form three-dimensional curves and make it possible to create both fixed sofas as well as linear or corner sectional compositions that correspond more closely to either a more classical or contemporary concept of living space. The curved elements emphasize Seymour’s soft, sinuous lines and its open invitation to mingle and be shared. When placed facing one another, Seymour sofas become the star players in the entire living area and engage in lively interaction with the Catlin and Joy “Jut Out” coffee tables. Seymour rests on elegant, longitudinally positioned, Bronze-painted aluminum bars designed to lift and lend lightness to the proportions when seen from the front.
Lounge Seymour

minotti > Sofa
Designed to furnish hospitality settings with style and elegance, Lounge Seymour offers restrained proportions and curves that express a feeling of intimacy and discretion. Soft shapes, diminished proportions and sinuous lines - the Lounge Seymour system was designed specifically for furnishing hospitality settings where relaxation and sociability speak the language of refined elegance. Particular to Lounge Seymour are the one-piece seat cushions embellished with subtle top stitching which allow for the creation of unique, asymmetrical compositions. Lounge Seymour becomes even more casual when outfitted with the cushions, made of soft feather down and available in two sizes: 40x40 cm and 50x50 cm. Thanks to its smaller seat depth, Lounge Seymour is also a brilliant solution to designing residential interiors where space is at a premium. The variety of available elements and pairing with Catlin and Elliott coffee tables allow for refreshing, casual, open compositions.
White

minotti > Sofa
Structure and proportions usher in a new architecture of the sofa. White seems to be a composite of perfectly balanced shapes. The repetitive overlapping of horizontal lines forms a highly distinctive aesthetic pattern that is further emphasized by the use of several different materials. The sofa base can be upholstered in fabric, leather or saddle-hide upon which the seat backs, cushions and tray tops are placed to create a captivating interplay of shapes and alternating positive and negative spaces. The sofa sits on die-cast aluminum Pewter-colored feet, an exclusive design by Minotti Studio, that are set at a 45° angle to the sofa corners, lending added flair, even to larger-sized compositions. To make the White sofa even more welcoming, the padding in the cushions was enhanced with a deeper layer of goose down, making them luxuriously soft and creating a pleasant contrast to the sleek formality of the sofa base.

Aston is a family of individual pieces, including a sofa, daybed, armchairs, ottomans, stools and chairs, custom-designed to furnish homes and hospitality spaces with style and elegance and while maintaining the dialog between indoors and out. Inspiration for the sofa, ottoman and Aston daybed is unabashedly retro; what they have in common are eloquent lines, a more conservative scale and the kind of painstaking construction that expresses time-tested artisan craftsmanship. The sofa features an enveloping back that is echoed in the lines of the armrest; it is raised off the floor on Pewter color cast aluminum feet that underscore its fine design qualities.
Andersen

minotti > Sofa
Floats above the floor on a slender pressure-cast metal base and elegant feet in Pewter-colored finish, an exclusive Minotti Studio shade. Thanks to the slight inclination of the seat and the inviting softness of its cushions, Andersen provides the utmost in comfort. These qualities of restrained elegance make Andersen the ideal marriage of design and classic perfection, ready to infuse a room with modern, minimal-chic sophistication. To foster good posture during reading and relaxing, the Andersen elements can be outfitted with a practical headrest.
Powell

minotti > Sofa
Powell, or the quintessential modern-day sofa as Minotti sees it: welcoming, refined and informal. A seating system with fixed and sectional seats, designed to cater to a natural desire to relax. The fine balance of proportions, sartorial craftsmanship, every detail in Powell harks back to the style that has become Minotti’s identity. The aluminum base is a detail that cannot go unnoticed also because of its extra-glossy finish in an exclusive range of colors - Sand, Bronze, Granite and Pewter - thus offering out-of-the ordinary and sophisticated color combinations that match with the upholstery. The sofa appears to be slightly raised from the ground, almost suspended. Comfort is a must-have in every Minotti sofa. And in order to make Powell even more comfortable, a saddle hide head-rest has been provided, that can easily be placed near the arm and backrest and used to support the cushion, to offer the right support and maximum comfort. The head-rest is available in Mud, Chestnut, Tobacco and Black. The master craftsmanship is shown to perfection in the detailing such as the sofa profile that forms a teardrop in the corner with a 45° joint. The relaxed elegance of the Powell project is expressed in its simple styling and stands out in a meticulous craftsmanship with down feather padding both for the single seating cushion and for the backrest cushions, which makes for a very comfortable sofa. The precision of the profile that runs along the upper side of the sofa base and the sleek aluminum frame define its design and highlight its lightness.
White "Saddle-Hide"

minotti > Sofa
Allen

minotti > Sofa
The Allen sofa is a perfect example of what Minotti means by “sofa”: an object defined by its smooth lines and proportions, its added height from the floor, and the functionality of its dimensions, without sacrificing soft lines and rounded shapes, especially where the arms are concerned. Even though it’s a product of design, Allen is certainly not lacking in comfort, thanks to the high back that offers total support for the back and the head. Internal padding of the arms and back is molded, while the reversible seat cushion is covered in goose down. The feet, made of molded, die cast aluminium, describe a sinuous line, proof that the classical concept is inherent to Minotti’s DNA. Spotlight on feet: made of die cast aluminium, in Pewter colour (a shade created by Minotti Studio) they have sinuous lines and classic structure, in both proportions and materials. Molded, they are the result of technological research and reinforce the association between Minotti and uniqueness. In terms of foot placement, they’re seen in profile when the sofa is viewed from the front, while the flat surface is visible when the sofa is viewed from the back or side. A totally new design concept: unlike traditional chaise longues that form the end unit of a seating composition, this element already possesses a “hint” of the sofa in its shape. Thanks to its “L-shaped” design, it foreshadows the sofa and carries it forward. Minotti also solves the problem of overlapping feet in the corner, and preserves the purity of design. A sense of clarity enhances the value of this piece in a key area of home living - the place for socializing with friends and enjoying family companionship.
