Cross

cassina > Styling
Bodil Kjær designed Cross in the early 1960s with the idea of creating vases that would support the stems of flowers to highlight their beauty in a natural way. Indeed, the characteristic cross shape allows the focus to be on the individual flower or to use several vases to form dramatic interlocking compositions.
Cross

cassina > Styling
Cassina re-edits the Cross vases in three sizes, two of which maintain their original dimensions. While the vase is blown inside the cast-iron mould, the surface is delicately hammered, each tap delivered with slightly different force, making every piece one-of-a-kind.

Wax, Stone, Light

cassina > Styling
The designer experiments with glass to discover the many facets of this material, playing with transparency, tactile sensations and light to create not only an object but also an atmosphere. The collection comprises five totem-like columns of different sizes made out of cubes of glass blown by Murano artisans into cast-iron moulds.
Valor.S

cassina > Styling
Valor.s is the table lamp and applique designed by Philippe Starck as a tribute to Vallauris, a tiny village on the French Riviera where, after World War II, Pablo Picasso and many other artists took up residence to reveal to the world the beauty of enamelled ceramics.
Fluxus-E

cassina > Styling
Envisioned as an intuitive, playful creation, the lamp is composed of borosilicate glass tubes, reminiscent of the shape of the Bic pen, that can be arranged in different ways to suggest open or closed flower blossoms or even more complex shapes.
Tapis La Main Ouverte

cassina > Styling
The collage depicts an open hand, symbol of the Indian city of Chandigarh, designed by Le Corbusier himself in the 1950s, and a key image in the maestro’s philosophy, symbolic of what is offered and received, utilised by the great architect as a metaphor for generosity and sharing in a universally meaningful gesture.
Bougeoir la Tourette

cassina > Styling
Created for the main altar of the church in the Sainte Marie de La Tourette monastery, designed by Le Corbusier between 1953 and 1961, and re-imagined in partnership with the Fondazione named for the great architect, Bougeoir La Tourette is distinguished by the geometrics that fully reflect the style of this ecclesiastical architecture.
