Originally created on a self-propelled mission to design the world's lightest metal chair, Pylon was made in a small series in Dixon's metal workshop in the early 90's. The lattice work of 3mm diameter steel rod is triangulated for maximum strength - an exercise in pure unadorned structure.

The brief was for a chair that was generously proportioned, comfortable and fully upholstered - the result was a rounded soft shell inspired by motor racing ‘tub’ seats. The collection is available in a wide range of colours and fabrics, and with Black, Natural, Chrome and Brass leg options. Also available as a high back dining chair.

Wingback is Tom Dixon's much appreciated armchair with its expressive sweeping curves that act as a sculptural intervention. This armchair is upholstered using Kvadrat's Gentle 2 0193 wool fabric and features Black Oak legs. The wings provide convenient acoustic protection for mobile phone use and a headrest for quick snoozes. More Information Inspired by traditional 17th Century Wingback and balloon-back archetypes, the sofa was originally developed for Shoreditch House Members Club. Wingback’s recognisable silhouette is formed through a hard sculptural foam shell concealing a steel frame with modelled plywood base. It is then covered with cut foam and given a pocket-sprung seat cushion for maximum comfort. The collection is available in a wide range of colours and fabrics.

Swirl Table Tall

Swirl Tall table is made using geometric forms stacked upon one another to create a multidimensional, functional sculpture. Substantial in weight, smooth in texture and bold in pattern, Swirl will inject a fresh pop sensibility into any setting. Made from powdered residue from the marble industry, this table has a distinct silhouette, colouration and personality. More Information The unique process with which Swirl is made involves recycling the powdered residue from the marble industry, mixing it with pigment and resin to create blocks of material that can then be sawn, sliced and turned on a lathe. Due to the nature of the pigmentation, each piece features a unique pattern due to the pouring process. Also available as a Medium and Low table.
