It was a very pleasant meeting, in the country house with my parents, at lunch, under a big tent and it was raining... we started laughing. We talked about many interesting things related to design and the desire to have one of his projects in our production. He said: I’ll think about it. After a while, we came up with this particular idea which, in my opinion, reveals his concept of space and form very well. Simple geometric elements: a square, a circle and a half sphere which, thanks to the reflection in the mirror on which it rests, is perceived as the sphere, a \"mutation of form in space\" as only he was able to develop in his continuous research. The Lido family, by the GamFratesi studio, is a design that perfectly expresses Minotti’s will to create a single design for different indoor and outdoor environments: the technology and material that go into the pieces define their intended use. The Lido Cord Outdoor family is composes of a semi-curved lounge sofa, a linear two-seater sofa, an armchair, a dining little armchair and a lounge little armchair, with an enveloping design reminiscent of a comfy nest, also complemented by a bench and an ottoman. The frame of the backrest is in Bronze-coloured painted stainless steel, and it is covered with polypropylene cords in tones that can span from the more traditional shades of Sand, Dark Brown and Black, to brighter shades such as Citron, Dark Blue and Teal. All colours - with the exception of Black, which gives the piece character and a strong identity- related to images of faraway landscapes that bring freshness to this family of outdoor furnishing pieces with a look inspired by the 1950s.
