SHAPES vases by Serax

In 2021, the studio was looking for a follow-up to the VOLUMES vases, but this time made from glass and solely made for flowers. With SHAPES, Studio Piet Boon created 3 elegant and serene vases, each made of completely mouth-blown glass. These objects have an aesthetic value, but also do not demand too much attention when filled with a bouquet of flowers. Japanese design and nature served as sources of inspiration.

KEKKE mirror

The with five millimeter strip steel framed KEKKE mirror owes its name to the characteristic Studio Piet Boon KEKKE shape.

VOLUMES vases by Serax

For this collection of five vases we played with the different thicknesses and heights that we always saw reappearing in commercial vases. By experimenting with them, volumes of different heights have been created at the top. These volumes have an important function: they keep the flowers in the right place.

Bring the outside in. The RAF armchair & loveseat blur the boundaries between interior and exterior design. Easily recognized by their characteristic sculptural shape with welcoming cushioning, the armchair and loveseat are an invitation to take it slow. The hybrid materials have been selected to maintain their elegance both inside and outside, making it ideal for a wide variety of spaces.

KEKKE lounge chair

More comfort. More balance. The KEKKE lounge chair offers the perfect way to enjoy long, relaxed days and nights at home. The design is based on the existing KEKKE dining chair but is more expansive, which means it’s more comfortable, as well. The chair is lower to the ground and features a tilted seat upholstered in soft leather. A loose back cushion is included for extra comfort and style. The design can be paired with the KEKKE ottoman. Both models feature thicker, powder-coated steel frames.

The BOB armchair adds a contrasting piece of furniture to the understated and elegant collection of Piet Boon armchairs and loveseats. The design of the BOB allows the user to be fully embraced by its soft form. The relaxed, flowing silhouette is formed by a high back. The deep cushioned seat, made of highly resilient foam and a layer of polyester fibers, creates maximum comfort.

JANE was named after two Michelin-star restaurant The Jane in Antwerp, as the studio initially designed the chair for the restaurant during the refit of its award-winning interior. Its cylinder shape, fluid lining and overlapping elements give JANE its accessible and distinct character. The sociable shape of the JANE invites for multidirectional seating, making it easy to combine JANE with other pieces of furniture.

East meets West in Jaime Hayon’s playful tweak of a traditional Asian lantern in contemporary expression. Dating back centuries, paper lanterns have featured in Asia amongst the privileged and the poor, where different colours, shapes and sizes connote different meanings. Here Hayon has dispensed with cultural formalities to create a series of lamps all in white. Hand crafted with rice paper merging various sizes and shapes together. The series is comprised of three different lantern versions and a table lamp in ivory white rice paper with black stained oak accents.

Space Copenhagen's goal with the Copenhagen series was to create a lamp that exudes a simple industrial aesthetic without sacrificing elegance. Blending the classic and the modern, the maritime and the industrial, the result is a lamp that embodies an intriguing contrast. The Copenhagen series consists of a table lamp, a floor lamp, and a pendant in three sizes.

Suspended lamp consisting of interconnected glass modules that reach a length of 1.66 mt. (S1) 2.07 mt. (S2) 2.49 mt. (S3) with 2.70 m suspended power cable.The cylindrical transparent glass modules are created through an artisanal process by pouring the glass into a rotating mold to obtain an exclusive finish that makes each single piece unique. Internal structure in polished extruded aluminum equipped with two linear LED modules for direct and indirect lighting downwards. The modules can be easily removed and replaced in case of maintenance.The power supply unit and the Dali Dimmer are located within the ceiling rose while a touch control button, positioned on one end of the product, allows the luminaire to be controlled in three different modes.Control options available: TOUCH_ Features direct control via the touch button on the lamp. Rar is crafted from PU foam with a wooden reinforcement structure inside and powder-coated steel legs and comes in two different textiles and one leather option.

Sunray designs a new, open-air landscape where exquisite design and carefully researched comfort join forces to create an intimate, relaxing atmosphere. With its enveloping design, the Sunray seating system is inspired by the desire to design situations that convey a sensation of intimacy and relaxation, in line with the concept of open-air living that imitates the comfort and beauty of indoor furnishing solutions. Sunray is designed both to play a leading role in outdoor settings and to complement the other furnishing pieces in the collection. It juxtaposes different shapes and materials: its airy surface in natural teak wood defines its horizontal line, while the curved backrest with interwoven cords gives it a dynamic allure. The system, composed of pieces that can be used alone or combined together, offers a variety of compositional solutions thanks to the high versatility of its elements. The family is composed of armchair, sofa, end element with or without extending top, chaise-longue, loveseat, daybed with reclining backrest, and square and rectangular coffee tables. The wide choice of the fabrics of the 2020 Textile Collection means Sunray can be personalised with exclusive textures and an extensive colour range. The natural teak top with sloping section sits on a polished Bronze metal structure: it is tapered on the edges and hosts the mattress-like cushioning of the seat. The backrest is characterised by a tubular profile covered in flat cord, in Bronze and Ecru colour, which designing a linear weave.

Apollo Chandelier

Designed by STUDIO 0405 the Apollo Chandelier is a contemporary take on a classic lamp archetype sharing basic structural characteristics of the traditional chandelier updated in a sculptural and functional design. Comprising multiple mouth-blown opal glass shades atop curved tubular arms creating a contrasting expression between the handcrafted organically shaped shades and the industrial anodised aluminium tubing. The Apollo Chandelier makes an ideal room centrepiece suitable for using in a variety of private and public places. Available in two different sizes with six or 12 arms.

Metis

Metis enriches the Saba product category that interprets the sofa as a changing and organic element. Its name has distant origins: the Greeks indicated with the word Mètis a practical intelligence, one that allows for everyday problems to be solved skillfully, and in unconventional ways, adapting to different circumstances, with elasticity and ingenuity. The practical intuition behind the Metis sofa is the use of an elegant and visible metal hinge as a joint element between the backrests. This application allows for maximum flexibility without strenuous gestures. Linear yet soft at the same time, Metis is characterized by precious quilting that sculpts the volumes of the seats, backrests and armrests.
