A hotel closure is a folded opening on the shortest side of the pillowcase. With a double hotel closure, it doesn't matter which side of your pillow you use, it always looks neat. Button down Auping duvet covers and duvets feature the button down system. These are convenient buttons and loops that you use to fasten the duvet and cover together so it won't shift. The term button down comes from fashion. It literally means "buttoned down" and often refers to the buttons on the collar of a shirt that you use to neatly fasten the collar to the shirt. Auping duvet covers have loops on the inside of the cover. Our duvets have buttons in the same places.
