Capri Base

Capri Base is the new edition of the iconic Capri armchair designed by Gordon Guillaumier. The result of a design study based on subtraction, Capri Base appears as a sculptural form emptied inside to create a soft curved shell, made even more comfortable by its goose-down seat cushion. The only concession to geometric rigour is the square Pewter-coloured metal base on which the upholstered volume rests. The side zips on the front of the armchair perform both an aesthetic function of decoration and a practical function, as they make the cover removable: a tailoring detail that contributes to making this furnishing piece a timeless icon.
