A French term derived from silk with a rippled or “watered” appearance, moiré is an optical effect that results in the illusion of waves or the movement of water. This effect is achieved by having an opaque, ruled pattern overlaid over another. Designer Christian Lava’s studies of this effect have led to his latest design aptly titled, Moiré. Using overlapping grids of metal, this LED pendant light dynamically changes shape following the viewer’s gaze, practically coming to life with a vibrating energy. Looking to capture the mythical and natural beauty of this Earth goddess, designer Jean-François Crochet has created the Gaia pendant light. Consisting of geometric frames of brass or raw metal reminiscent of the mountains Gaia created, the pendant uses led light to push light through the “cracks” formed. The resulting light creates a magical feeling, as if the lights peaking through were alive themselves. I Lucci Argentati draws from nature to create a whimsical, yet modern light. Recalling a school of fish darting through freshwater, it creates a mesmerizing luminescence. For his work for Terzani, Nigel Coates, well known for his unorthodox approach to design, has created an engaging, unique light. Customizable groups of hand made crystal "angels” are illuminated by halogen or led lamps. What caused these angels to fall from the heavens? It’s up to the viewers to decide. Either way, Angel Falls is sure to garner attention, and generate conversation, in any setting. Design Nigel Coates. Made in Italy.

At Terzani, we spend countless days searching the globe for talented new designers, but sometimes they find us. Such is the case with the young designers Luca Martorano and Mattia Albicini (Draw studio) who approached us with the design for Calle, a fantastic new light we instantly fell in love with. It howcases our skill at crafting crystal to take the material to an exciting, modern place. Luca and Mattia worked with our raftsmen to create a slender inverted flute of crystal that, like the calla lily it mimics, can be grouped into stunning bouquets of light. Design Draw. PLAYdinner Lam is designed based on a geometric formula invented by the French Physicist and Mathematician Gabriel Lam. The formula is used to calculate the ellipse-shaped curves that make up the shape of the tabletop a shape also known as a superellipse. The special shape of the PLAYdinner Lam which lies between the shape of a rectangular and a round table helps to create an incredibly cozy and social atmosphere and helps to gather everyone around it in the same way that is otherwise only possible with a round dining table. PLAYdinner Lam is handmade in Denmark with continuous solid wooden slats the wooden slats are sorted so that the plates appear beautiful and harmonious with fine grain patterns.

The NL12 is a stunning borosilicate glass pendant lamp, a collaboration between DCWéditions and designer Sebastian Summa, blending eloquent minimalism with sophisticated brutalism. Inspired by the electro-constructivist aesthetic of Kraftwerk, this statement piece features twelve borosilicate glass tubes, with only one serving as the central light source while the others diffuse its glow through refraction and prism effects. The design creates the illusion of a celestial beam, with no visible wires, LEDs, or aluminum structures, offering a radical yet poetic lighting experience. The lamp is suspended by gymnastic clamp-inspired brackets, adding a post-industrial athletic touch and showcasing artisanal craftsmanship. Designed to illuminate large spaces like dining rooms, the NL12 is a fusion of art and functionality. Technical details include a 48W integrated LED (2700K, non-dimmable), 4800 lumens output, and a 4.5-meter wire.
