Hand blown in a mould, the bubble coat cook  come in two sizes and set up in the same manner as soap bubbles, in unpredictable forms. The result rejuvenates the home by adding colourful yet transparent touches.The designers have created a strong hanger with one point of anchorage, providing the illusion of fragility whilst assuring solidity. Three stories, three narratives, three patterns: Gaufrettes: inspired by the suppleness of fabric, it is one of the Crafties' signature pieces. Mosaïque: a tribute to Maison Picassiette, a house entirely made of mosaic fragments. Croisillon: inspired by cane weaving. Patterns used by the Crafties are indicative of a fascination for printing techniques found in micropublishing, in particular: risographs. The technique involves the application of successive layers (just one colour per layer) that are added atop each other to reveal the final pattern. With the design comes additional inspiration: textiles. Materials that the duo can harness to create a narrative in space through the use of wallpapers, coverings, custom-made textile decorations, fabric frescoes. Read more

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Petite Friture initiates a new collaboration with the talented duo of female designers from Milan Studio Pepe. "We want to preserve the idea that light is pure through the modern techniques we employ in our design. The manufacturing of the piece proved to be very trying because of the technical difficulties of the light. We sought to recreate the classic neon light, but with LED technology.” Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara di Pinto.  ‘Unseen’ is a testimony of the pair’s technical and aesthetic prowess. The LED light is contained in a silicone tube, itself contained in a polycarbonate tube for optimal light-scattering.  Read more

10 years after the iconic Vertigo suspension light was launched, it now comes in a new size (110cm) and is available in just two colours: black and white Intended for smaller spaces, the 110cm Vertigo suspension is just as poetic and weightless as the other models in the collection. Like most of Petite Friture’s lights, it is made in France. The ribbons are hand-glued in APF France Handicap workshops, a not-for-profit advocating an open, inclusive, and solidarity-based society. The choice to work with such a partner for Vertigo was made right from the outset. It reflects how Amelie du Passage, founder of Petite Friture, strives "to make good emerge from beauty". Much like the other models, the black 110 cm Vertigo suspension light is height adjustable. Read more
