Archimede is a Laptop Caddy designed by the architect Leonardo Rossano with two oak veneer wood tabletops or methacrylate polymer and a structure in mat chrome steel. The plank has been cut with a fine blade and rejoined with precise alignment of the fungal woodgrain, forming an L-shape with corners so seamless that both wood and resin appear uninterrupted. Through a proprietary process, alcarol creates a single, continuous volume — a solid trace of ephemeral life. This invisible joinery can be adapted for various typologies: tables, benches, shelves, and beyond. Each piece is unique — a quiet testament to the living conditions that shaped it, and to the poetry of transformation hidden in decay.

alcarol has recovered logs from the undergrowth of the Italian Dolomites, selecting planks that still preserve their natural edges and native populations of moss and lichens: small, delicate organisms embedded in a transparent resin that recalls the water from which they once drew life. The Trail Console is crafted from a single plank, cut into three parts with a very fine blade and then reassembled so precisely that the woodgrain flows seamlessly across each plane. The vertical and horizontal segments are joined invisibly, so both the wood and the resin follow a continuous path, forming an object that appears to be a single, bent gesture. This sculptural movement evokes the natural growth of a tree: rising from the ground, reaching outward, and then returning to the earth: a silent path in wood and memory. Trail is not just a console, but a spatial walk through the forest, a tactile reminder of the vitality hidden beneath the canopy, and the timeless motion of nature shaping form.
