A symbolic textile expression of the early twentieth century, it marries the use of wild, raw katia silk with the contemporary tradition. The hand weaving process alternately combines a lustrous white viscose yarn with an undyed textural silk yarn, in two bulky weft threads that switch from one colour to another. A lampas characterised by the arrangement of diamond stitching, which, as early as the late Seventeenth Century, defined the rich decorative fabrics, the delicate lace decoration which encircles a flower, berry and tropical fruit centerpiece, a trace of which remains, dates back to the subsequent century. The textile documentation from which it draws inspiration is attributed to historians in Spitalfields, a London suburb, which, from the Seventeenth to Eighteenth Century boasted thriving textile production, producing items for the Court and English aristocracy. A twist of eclectic more common or more exotic visual patterns which recall ancient times, which come together to tell a whole new story. Available in three colours, it is a textile which can be used for curtains or for decorative elements.

Consisting of over 60,000 point rentré stitches, the embroidery is defined by a combination of two yarns, one matt and the other more luminous, which fade into each other to create pictorial depth. A work of meticulous precision, the motif is traced on the warm and slightly melange ground of <a href="/alpaca-alto/">Alpaca Alto</a>, generating a soft bas relief effect in which the velvet embraces and defines the contours.
