Description

Combining elements with different characteristics. Balancing their strengths so that their shapes, materials, and unique characteristics-so precious yet so different-can interact harmoniously. This research gave rise to the Antinomia coffee table, composed of two fundamental elements: a monolithic base and a large, contoured support surface. These elements, like an oxymoron, coexist in a single entity, enhancing each other. The more distinctive and fragmented shapes are combined with more regular and sober ones to create a mix of elements that, while sharing the same semantics, furnish a space without being overbearing.

The purity and perfection of those lines take shape and substance in the mind, moving in the space of the imagination and developing three-dimensionally. Enriching the Adri family of coffee tables, the Adri T table takes shape, characterised by a monolithic and sculptural central base, on which thick tops rest.

Playing on oxymorons. On formal elements that manage to be so different as to seem incompatible with each other. The Antinomia-T table is born from this idea and, through the juxtaposition of a rigid, monolithic, and rigorous base with a soft, contoured top, creates a mix of lines and geometries that, despite their apparent dissonance, gain strength and vigor, merging into a single entity that is understated and never excessive.

Aria

Creating a table that was not monolithic and conveyed a sense of lightness. Giving it a strong presence that conveyed its importance. Lightness and strength. This is the oxymoron that guided the design of Aria. Aria can be as delicate as a pleasant spring breeze or as impetuous as a strong wind bringing a storm. And so the top of this table and its legs are one, shaped in a “free form” as the result of a strong storm, which it managed to withstand despite its lightness, thanks to the tenacity, presence and strength of its body. The thick legs blend with the top and, through the irregular geometry of the joints and the use of materials, playfully create an object that thrives on similarities and differences.
