In his visual art, Waters explores themes of celebrity, censorship, and the absurdity of American culture, often using found imagery, wordplay, and appropriation to create unexpected juxtapositions. Henzel Studio proudly launched his rug Contemporary Art Hates You, 2009 / 2025 at PDC Design Gallery (formerly MOCA West Hollywood) in conjunction with Frieze. This piece embodies Waters’ ongoing engagement with contemporary art, confronting its hierarchies and self-seriousness with his signature mix of satire and affection.
