One of the more popular chair styles of the era was the "Klismos" chair, copied from images found on vases recovered from Herculaneum and Pompeii. The style and scale make them useful and livable, while the clean lines and fine hand-carved geometric detailing make a dramatic statement. Standard with NP-08 Premium Old Brass nail head trim, no spacing, and standard with Hickory Chair provided grosgrain ribbon beneath the nails (option to send COT grosgrain ribbon for upcharge). Petite Nails are the only size nail that will work on this frame. Option for no nails available, must request on order, there is no upcharge to remove nails.

The Choate Dining Table was inspired by Suzanne's antique Regency table. The dining table is 54" diameter and expands up to a 126" oval with the addition of the three 24" leaves. Clearance Below Apron - 26". The apron of the table has brass fluted details capping each leg that terminates with Antique brass ferrules. Center support legs are standard with or without leaves. Optional leaf bag available as HC1040-00.

The top and base are part of our Personal Preference Dining Table program which allows you to select from a variety of tops and bases to create a custom table for your home. The diminutive Antoinette Side Table is among Suzanne Kasler's favorite finds from the Paris flea market. The rich carving, tapered legs and mirrored insets make for a beautiful accent piece. The French Regency originals are a distressed white painted finish with silvery mirror details and gilt striping. This version is available in all Hickory Chair finishes and features hand-painted striping on the mirrored sides and lattice decoration on the top. Special Decoration pattern available in any Hickory Chair striping color and technique on any Alternative or Premium finish as 1585-40. Golden Brass hardware standard.

Blackland Cabinet

Reminiscent of the 1930’s and 1940’s French Moderne period, the doors of the Blackland Cabinet are characterized by a bold geometric raised mullion pattern revealing the anegre veneers behind. Custom made ferrules and a flush mount key-pull adorn the cabinet. The interior features an adjustable shelf and four drawers to provide storage as well as media solutions. It’s also available with a special hand decoration pattern on the doors.

The Chase Reeded Cocktail Table and companion Chase Reeded Side Table are typical of architectural forms developed by the French in the 1930s and 1940s. The top and shelf feature quarter-sawn ash veneers which reveal the natural ray flake of the grain within a solid ash frame. The top is framed with a reeded border which lends texture and interest. Optional finishes available as 1685-70.

Inspired by an antique discovered during Suzanne’s travels, the East Paces Side Table features a richly detailed ash burl wood top framed by an “Old Brass” finished metal collar. Graceful serpentine legs, one of Suzanne Kasler’s signature design elements, are joined by a coved stretcher with unique molding detail and circle medallion. The table is thoughtfully constructed with solid maple legs, a figured ash burl top, and walnut veneers for a refined, layered material story. Finish Notes: • The burl top is not recommended for paint finishes due to the natural texturing of the burl veneer which will telegraph through paint finishes. • For optimal results, select finishes developed for walnut, as these perform best across the mixed wood species used in this design.
