Tambù / Tambù DeLux floor

The name Tambù is a nick-name for Tamburello, sport and game frequently played in many Italian regions. The choice of the name comes from the fact that the diffuser characterizing the entire system resembles that of a tambourine. The diffuser element incorporates two sources of light consisting of 2 LED cards that allow 3 lighting possibilities: direct, indirect or combined simultaneously. The Floor and reading versions are equipped with a 4 level light controller.

Triggered by a vision, ex–Tr is the development of one of architect Franco Raggi’s designs from the 1990s. The LED strips are used in such a way that the dazzling and at times disturbing dotted effect of the light they produce is neutralised, not by the use of screens or filters, but, to the contrary, by the almost unlimited multiplication of the dotted effect that is typical of LED lights. This result is achieved by using a transparent extruded cannulated glass that multiplies the light as if it contained as many as four LED strips. The light thus appears as a cheerful, playful, multifaceted presence and at the same time as an extremely essential and functional source of light. ex–Tr now also becomes a system with the declination of its original model (pendant lamp) into wall-mounted and floor-standing versions. For those who desire an even softer light, the range offers versions in the same type of glass but with a sandblasted finish.
Equilibrio wall

All these declinations use a white jacketed blown glass for the diffuser-lampshade with a vaguely metaphysical shape reminiscent of De Chirico’s heads. ex-Tr terra

Nata da un’intuizione, ex–Tr è l’elaborazione dell’architetto Franco Raggi di un suo progetto degli anni ’90. Le strisce LED vengono usate in modo tale che l’effetto puntiforme della luce che emettono, abbagliante e in taluni casi addirittura disturbante, venga annullato non dall’uso di schermi o filtri, ma al contrario dal moltiplicarsi quasi all’infinito dell’effetto stesso. Questo risultato è ottenuto utilizzando un vetro estruso cannettato trasparente che moltiplica la luce come se fosse un contenitore di ben quattro strisce di LED. La luce si manifesta così come una presenza allegra, giocosa, divertente, con molteplici sfaccettature, ma anche come fonte di illuminazione estremamente essenziale e funzionale. ex–Tr diventa anche un sistema con la declinazione del suo modello iniziale, a sospensione, nelle versioni da terra e a parete. Inoltre, per chi desiderasse una luce ancora più morbida, sono state previste le versioni dotate degli stessi vetri sabbiati.

Brim é un apparecchio a doppia emissione di luce: la prima orientata e controllata, la seconda diffusa.

The ECLISSE collection is characterized by a metalized glass body inside which a beam of light seems to be suspended on the blown glass generating harmonious chromatic effects. The handcrafted spheres of the Eclisse collection are available in a variety of color finishes, from traditional to metallized, and the metal frame is manufactured in a chrome finish. The metallic decoration realized on the real blown spheres is a highly artisanal process and made entirely in Italy.

The REGULA collection includes two different wall lamps and a pendant lamp, designed by Pietro Tucci with the collaboration of Alberto Manzoni. The glass is the same one we have always used, borosilicate, this time worked in a square tubular section. Surprising is the quality of light expressed by the LEDs made in Italy especially for this collection. The wall lights are mounted on the wall with a ‘clip-on’ system to avoid unsightly fastening elements. Novelty and innovation are provided by a magnet that allows the glass to be easily removed for cleaning. The suspension has a functional clip-on connection that is easy to connect to the power supply. The practical skill behind REGULA was to simplify the design by eliminating the superfluous and making only what is necessary shine through.

Ambrosia is essentially a line of light that can be converted into a modular system, capable of extending the illumination it offers to adapt to any space. A design that recovers and revisits the tube light, timeless, and updates it so that its simple structure and diffuse lighting add beauty to any space. This collection expands on its possibilities by proposing a change in the plane of light, from horizontal to vertical.This new style of lamp is available in two versions, both of which are pendant lamps. First there is the Ambrosia V, a 235-cm-high vertical structure consisting of two tubes of light of different lengths. An interrupted line of light, a detail that brings lightness and character to the lamp. Its design allows you to choose the lighting, either towards the wall for indirect light, or towards the main space for direct light. This aesthetic and functional design also works well in domestic settings. The other vertical version, Ambrosia V, joins three light tubes placed at different heights, forming a sculptural ensemble. This option can provide a great deal of light and therefore comes with a dimming system for easy lighting control. It is available in two heights of 130 and 175 cm. Both sizes can be electrically connected through the ceiling rosette or the floor plug. The new Ambrosia allows you to create vertical lighting compositions, combining different sizes in repetition to illuminate large spaces. When installed individually, it fills the space with light and warmth. Its slender design sets the perfect scene in any room. A totally new perspective for this flexible lighting system, which achieves maximum light expression with a minimalist structure. The metal structure is available in two finishes – black and matte gold – and the light source in three colour temperatures: 2200 K, 2700 K and 3000 K.

For Lluís Porqueras, designing consisted of eliminating the superfluous until an essential object was left: beautiful, useful and simple. This was the case with the Funiculí, a 1979 lamp that Marset reissued in 2013 and which has become an emblem of the collection.Lightweight, it takes up almost no space and can function as an ambient lamp or for direct light, depending on how you direct the beam. Its designer released the shade to give maximum mobility. It can rotate through 360 degrees to focus the light where you want and also has a double clamp system for height adjustment. For the Funiculí, forty years are nothing; it has stood the test of time and now comes in new colours that further expand its possibilities. It is no longer only available in the neutrals moss grey, black and off-white. The new colours – green, terracotta and mustard – are intense. They are design statements, highlighting the shapes of the Funiculí and bringing chromaticism to the space. The new shades are cheerful and vivid, conveying that colour can also be essential.

Fienile is also available in floor lamp versions for outdoor use, based on the same design inspired by the iconic rural buildings of Norway. Fienile Outdoor is a work of micro-architecture, with its walls and pitched roof extruded in a single, solid block of coated aluminium, while the diffuser is in polycarbonate. The outdoor version of Fienile comes in two heights, 32 or 72 cm, and two colors: pale and dark gray. Thanks to its essential design, Fienile Outdoor fits perfectly into the surrounding landscape and architectural context.
