GINGER - Stand-alone sofa

The Ginger sofa, designed by Antonio Citterio in 1984, returns to the collection, re-establishing the absolute relevancy of its design today. After the re-edition last year of the eponymous chaise longue, Flexform reinterprets it with the same minimalist elegance and the same balance between aesthetic value and comfort, expressed in a new configuration. The tubular metal structure, trademark feature of the design, welcomes generously sized seat and backrest cushions, their enveloping softness an invitation to relax. The two cowhide-clad pivoting side tables are incorporated into the armrests and serve as elegant, functional table-top surfaces. The detail of the leather-clad cylindrical bar that embraces the backrest cushions, and the system of springs that optimize the sofa’s support, express a sophisticated combination of design research and artisan savoir-faire . LUCHINO - Dining chair

An object of undisputed functionality, the folding chair can boast a thousand years of history. Originally used as a field chair, with the expansion of the film industry, it acquired definitive star-status as a director’s chair, thanks to the ease with which it could be moved from one set to another. These legendary qualities – comfortable, lightweight and easy to carry – are what inspired Antonio Citterio and Flexform to give it a new interpretation in the Luchino chair. Made of solid hand-turned and finished wood, with the seat and backrest in cowhide, the Luchino chair possesses a sophisticated system of joints that allow it to be quickly folded and moved. Simple only in appearance, to the discerning eye the Luchino chair reveals exquisite wood craftsmanship and the meticulous care invested in designing the small metal parts that govern movement of the folding mechanism. INCA - Accessory

The Inca rug is made of the finest New Zealand wool and loop - woven, a technique in which the pile is left in its original form, as it came off the loom. Interpreted in three color variations – Milk, Stone and Anthracite – tied to the natural world, Inca is inspired by the monumental decorative bas-reliefs from pre-Colombian architecture, from which it takes its name.  The Inca rug is custom-crafted within the maximum dimensions shown on the price list.

MORI - Accessory

The Mori rug is inspired by two intersecting worlds – one of sophisticated contemporary European textile art, and the other of natural influences, made up of woven herbs moved by the wind, wheat stalks bound for drying. Tensions, knotting and constrictions that open into fringe, free and wild, characterize this rug hand-made from New Zealand wool and cotton. The Mori rug is custom-crafted within the maximum dimensions shown on the price list.

SUPERMAX - Stand-alone sofa

Forty years after the launch of the Max sofa, Antonio Citterio returns to one of his best-loved and most emblematic Flexform designs. While leaving some of its distinctive traits untouched, he revisits it with a more contemporary eye and expands its possibilities of use. The new model carries the name Supermax and, compared to the Max sofa of 1983, has more generous proportions. The clearly Rationalist-inspired sleek tubular metal structure was lowered a bit to encourage a more relaxed posture, while the size of the characteristic kidney-bean shaped seat cushion was completely redesigned and enhanced with additional padding for greater comfort. The unmistakable cushioned cylindrical backrest is even more eye-catching in the version with two-tone upholstery. If the Max sofa is ideally intended for use in waiting rooms, executive offices and lounges, the Supermax, with its deep low seat, aspires to a more central and multi-functional living room role, in both residential and hospitality settings.

ALCAMO - Coffee and Side table

Although minimalist by design, the Alcamo coffee/side tables possess a bold personality, thanks to their vivid colors. The Alcamo coffee/side tables are focused on functionality – both the three-legged structure and the top are in epoxy powder-coated aluminum. This makes them especially lightweight and easy to move. They do not require any protective covering from the weather, although it is recommended that their respective covers be used to best maintain their original condition. The Alcamo coffee/side tables come in various sizes and heights and can bring a bright note of color to the most diverse settings ‒ from city balconies to a country home garden or alongside a swimming pool. All of the components used in manufacturing the Alcamo coffee/side tables can be recycled.

DESCO - Coffee and Side table

Robust stability, tradition reinterpreted and remarkable functionality are the distinctive traits of the Desco family of tables. Exquisite materials and finishes go hand-in-hand with the purity of design and refinement of the constructive details that complement each other and lend the Desco table understated elegance. The base has turned legs in solidwood stained in a selection of finishes, while the top comes in various types of wood, or in various types of marble.  For a detail that adds value ‒ the ends of the table legs are finished with aluminum tips.

Designed to furnish the living room and dining room with tasteful elegance, the Earl family of containers includes low cabinets with drawers and a tall piece with hinged doors, all appointed differently inside. Differing in their proportions and how they are used – TV console, cabinet, long console – the Earl storage units share unpretentious minimalist lines that do not, however, conform to a principle of simplification, but rather to a subtle quest for balance and highly sophisticated formal solutions. Signature feature of the Earl family is the singular drawer-front design. Veneered in luxurious wood, it has a curved upper edge that seems to frame the top, available in different types of wood, or enhanced with a top in a selection of types of marble. All of the pieces in the Earl family are the same on the front and back, so they can also be used as room dividers. 

ATLANTE LIGHT | ATLANTE WOOD - Daybed

ATLANTE LIGHT The structure is in cast aluminum while the seat and backrest are in a mesh fabric made of synthetic fibers that are especially resistant to weather conditions, humidity, mold, chlorine and salt water. Soft to the touch, its texture has a three-dimensional effect. The mesh comes in an array of elegant variegated colors. Effortlessly stackable, the backrest of the Atlante Light daybed can be adjusted to several positions and, thanks to the practical cast-aluminum wheels, it can be easily moved about. ATLANTE WOOD The Atlante Wood daybed offers an interesting combination of materials – the structure is made of aluminum with epoxy powder-coat finish in a palette of elegant colors, while the seat and backrest are made of hand-finished solid wood slats. MAGI - Chaise longue

Magi daybed is a tribute to the Magister sofa, deservedly considered one of the company’s iconic products. This elegant daybed revisits the sofa’s characteristic capitonné tufting, replacing the traditional button with a modern two-hole tufting technique. This sophisticated tailoring detail underscores the graphic impact of the tufting and the company’s expertise in implementing exceptionally complex tailoring techniques. Lifted off the floor on a tastefully unadorned metal base, the Magi bench can be outfitted with a convenient bolster.

FILICUDI - Ottoman

A.B.C.D. - Armchair

The A.B.C.D. armchair is a re-edition of the iconic A.B.C. armchair, introduced in 1996. Some substantial changes were made to the new version, launched in 2014 – like the re-design of the base and elimination of the armrest – to give it a softer look. The metal structure of the armchair comes in an array of finishings. The A.B.C.D. armchair can be paired with its namesake ottoman-footstool and is equipped with a state-of-the-art mechanism for reclining the seat back. An elegant accessory is also available – a convenient headrest with soft goose-down padding and metal counterweight. The A.B.C.D. armchair was awarded honorable mention by the international jury of the 24th ADI [Industrial Design Assn.] Compasso d’oro Award. 

MAGISTER - Stand-alone sofa

Designed in 1982, this legendary sofa is meant to play a starring role in the home or in public spaces, like waiting rooms, lobbies or corporate offices. Its understated, minimal aesthetic is the result of finely-crafted upholstering that demonstrates the company’s ability to produce furnishings that express the perfect marriage between an aptitude for innovation and the kind of tradition that stems from years of experience in classic upholstering. Available in versions upholstered in fabric or leather, Magister shows off to its best advantage in the latter, in which the unadulterated design of this sofa is exalted by the exquisite tufting. In the Magister sofa, the traditional buttons have been replaced with a more modern two-hole tufting technique. Lifted off the floor on metal feet, the Magister sofa comes with goose-down-filled cylindrical armrests and features a retractable metal shelf behind the seat back that, thanks to an ingenious mechanism, transforms the Magister sofa into a handy, and comfortable, single bed.

Designed in 1983, the Max sofa has maintained its iconic appeal ever since. Not just a sofa, it is a sculptural icon whose sinuous lines lend it star status wherever it’s placed, whether in a domestic or hospitality setting, like waiting rooms, corporate offices, lounge areas or boutiques. The lightweight tubular metal structure – available in an array of finishes – supports the characteristic “kidney bean-shaped” seat cushion and cylindrical seat back. The Max sofa can be upholstered in leather or fabric. A trendy version was crafted with unique black and white optical-print leather upholstery and entered the collective imagination, thanks to a memorable photograph by Gabriele Basilico.

The Lightpiece sofa leverages the stylistic DNA of the Groundpiece sofa, while lending it a lighter visual appearance. The Lightpiece sofa – available in stand-alone and sectional versions – delivers the same versatility and amazing comfort as the Groundpiece sofa but features transparent methacrylate feet that give the Lightpiece sofa an airy, almost floating allure. Another distinguishing feature of the Lightpiece sofa is the possibility to opt for the console armrest upholstered in cowhide, or for the epoxy powder-coated metal version in a wide range of exquisite colors. Lightpiece is an extremely versatile sofa, at home in any setting, that looks equally fabulous when upholstered in any of the fabrics and leathers in the Flexform collection.

BANGKOK - Ottoman

An all-around accessory, the Bangkok ottoman is available in two sizes and, thanks to its sophisticated construction and practicality, is confidently at home in any room in the house, from the living room to the bedroom. It is a ‘rectangular cube’ with rounded edges and a solid wood and metal structure, padded with polyurethane and Dacron and covered in a laminated fabric. The Bangkok ottoman can be upholstered in any of the fabrics and leathers in the vast Flexform collection but takes on an unmistakable personality in the version with upholstery in woven cowhide or suede. 

Split 3 stool

SPLIT 3 is a stool sporting a modern, minimal design. The product is a variation on the Split 1 model and comes in two heights: 75 and 65 cm The original shell has been shrunk in size compared to the chair so that it is more comfortable and in proportion with the new height. The metal tubular base, with its light design, comes in a choice of galvanized, coated (in the same colour as the shell) or chrome finish.  Split 3 features a highly versatile design given the endless colour combinations. The stool model is great for public settings, like bars and restaurants, paired with the Split 1 chair. This seating collection, designed by Francesco Meda, includes several versions, differing in size and the material used for the frame, which comes in a choice of plastic, wood or metal.

The top back panel door or doors can also be in ceramic available in a range of polished or matt finishes. Bookcase Hemingway

The bookcase Hemingway with its refined and strong shapes was created by architect Massimo Castagna.  It is a bookcase with frame in solid wood, made of uprights and beams, wall or ceiling fixing.  The uprights are made lighter by frontal and lateral fissures and are characterised by inserts in polished metal. The horizontal beams physically and visually define the shape and rhythm of this bookcase. The structure supports the shelves and storage units available in different functions and dimensions.  The bookcase Hemingway can accommodate horizontal storage units with flap opening and vertical units with hinge door, made of glass and wood.
