Caryngo was a rare collaboration between Carl Malmsten and Yngve Ekström, two of the biggest names in Swedish furniture design. It came in 1955 and Malmsten was responsible for the basic design while Ekström was responsible for the detail work, and the first versions went under the name "Model Yngve".
