Description

Holywater is inspired by the holly water and the cross a highly ecclesiastical symbol-motif is the particular washbasin.Basically it is a concrete sculpture with intense organic forms made based on the handmade art!This product is made of cast concrete. Design by Sotiris Lazou designstudio in 2019.Urbi et Orbi is specializes in the production of concrete design elements. The raw material used is a unique reinforced mixtureof cement, additives enhancers and special aggregates.The durability of concrete is known from the building construction.However the untreated concrete is not sufficient to construct a functional washbasin. Concrete is porous, so it absorbs and smudgeseasily. So, in order to be waterproof and protected from unwanted stains, is necessary the treatment and the sealing of the surface.The waterproofing system which the company applies over the surface, consisting of specific varnishes in four stages, and achieves the best result while also does not affect the natural appearance and the texture of concrete.Each design object that is made of concrete, acquires value thanks to its uniqueness, its character, its aspect.
