Peak Chair

The Peak chair, which has been awarded the ARC 21 award, is a sustainable design chair by Joost van der Vecht. The name Peak is a reference to the mountain tops that are becoming increasingly barren be caused by climate change. The starting point was to design a durable, usable and elegant chair. The curved back and seat of the chair are made of waste paper, an essentially unusable – but clean – raw material that gets a second life and can be processed into a new chair in the future. The chair is available in a veneered, upholstered or hybrid (upholstered seat) version.

Yoku is derived from the Japanese form of therapy Shinrin Yoku, which means forest bathing. The Yoku table is made of honest and recognizable materials from the forest. The design speaks for itself.
