The Peak chair, which has been awarded the ARC 21 award, is a sustainable design chair by Joost van der Vecht. The name Peak is a reference to the mountain tops that are becoming increasingly barren be caused by climate change. The starting point was to design a durable, usable and elegant chair. The curved back and seat of the chair are made of waste paper, an essentially unusable – but clean – raw material that gets a second life and can be processed into a new chair in the future.
