The BAFFEL system expands the acoustic surfaces in the room by increasing absorption beyond the ceiling and wall. This architectural element provides multiple application possibilities to dampen sound and improve room acoustics. The compactness of the frame combined with the various AMF surface decors combine function and aesthetics. The optimal, understated and barely visible stainless steel wire pendant gives an impression of lightness and elegance.BAFFEL advantagesWith the BAFFEL system, vertical sound absorption surfaces can be arranged in any position in the ceiling. By varying the distance between the rows and the size of the BAFFELs, the acoustic effectiveness of the surfaces can be multiplied. The vertical arrangement of the BAFFELs allows even greater reduction of echoes and reverberations.Inclination towards acoustic optimisation - the purpose of use of the room defines the acoustics, the corresponding guidelines must be adhered to according to the noise and reverberation time criteria of the room. Often the available ceiling and wall surfaces are not sufficient. With the BAFFEL system, it is possible to further extend the sound absorption surfaces in the room by possibly freeing parts of walls or ceilings from the absorption obligation (e.g. very noisy rooms such as bottling plants). In modern architecture, very hard and therefore reflective materials such as glass and concrete are found in particular. Concrete is often used as a heating or cooling surface. For this reason, only a few surfaces are available for sound absorption. In this case, they are not sufficient to achieve an acceptable reverberation time in the room. BAFFELs are one of the few possibilities to positively influence the acoustic modulation of the room. BAFFELs consist of a metal frame with a mineral fibre sound absorber inside. The frame and absorber can come in different colours. The absorber material consists of two mineral fibre panels positioned on the back side with the acoustic fleece on the visible side. Thanks to the mineral fibre core of the panels, high sound absorption values and excellent fire protection qualities are achieved. The composition with bio-soluble mineral fibre, perlite, clay and starch provides good mechanical strength despite the high porosity required for good acoustics. Thanks to the visible white acoustic veil, the surface appears smooth and extremely elegant.
