On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of DRAENERT,we are now writing a new chapter of the Art Edition. The architect and designer Hadi Teherani has transferred the cultural history of marble into modern design and has created a limited edition of the MARBLE WING.“The fascinating aspect is to subdue a rock and transform it into a sculpture, tame it to a chaise longue and bring into focus the lightness in combination with the jagged rock”, says Hadi Teherani. In this way, the architect and designer became an artist who worked as a sculptor on his design and, in the tradition of the old master-builders, created the chaise longue in Carrara marble. A chaise longue, made of one natural stone block of Carrara marble, limited to 15 pieces, numbered and dated with certificate.
The writing desk F1 is based on an anonymous high-rise model whereby a medievalcathedral can be seen in the silhouette. Upon opening the front panel, the interior can be seen as designed in three parts, similar to writing furnitureof the late 18th and 19th centuries. The style, nevertheless, is not solely Biedermeier. In emphasising the ornamental, a clear Art Deco influence can beperceived. The desk is limited to 100 and each desk is dated and numbered.
The “Achter”-Model consists of individual glass plates for each place setting. The pedestal of the 1318-series is made of MDF veneered and lacquered in black; the metal parts are in polished chrome. The company founder, Dr. Peter Draenert, has designed, beside this table series, numerous products of the DRAENERT collection, many of them are still relevant today. Each piece of furniture should have a distinctive personal signature - an extraordinary DRAENERT line. The visionary and designer originally studied philosophy, history of art, German studies, and psychology – certainly very important features of his creative process. This table series is in accordance with the philosophical, psychological and sociological idea of modern narcissism of the individual in the lifestyle bath of the masses.People fend for themselves. They are self-sufficient, look for themselves and their needs, especially during a formal meal. It is, therefore, symbolic to separate the large table, shared by all, into individual areas and still further into individual functional areas. A traditional, general procedure has been de-familiarized and stylised to a new order.
An ensemble consisting of coffee and side tables that implement a vision very aesthetically: the use of natural stone as a filigree design element for the living area. The soft edge allows the stone of the table top to run out. This creates a delicate silhouette. All types of natural stone are available. The frame made of bent round steel is coated in dark bronze or painted in other colors.
This side table impresses by its authentic simplicity. The table top of natural stone captivates by its leathered surface with raw edges. The combination with the natural steel pedestal of black steel gives this table its authenticity.
Our ATLAS is an icon, a classic: an extendable dining table made of natural stone that impresses with its modern clarity and technical sophistication. Its highlight: the symmetrical relationship between the tabletop and the substructure is maintained both in the extended and in the retracted position. The ATLAS is the only table in the outdoor collection that is extendable. Now, with ATLAS OUTDOOR, we are bringing all its benefits outside! Because the material natural stone is ideal for outdoor use - even in extreme weather, it is always resistant and loses none of its natural beauty. The tabletop is available in 150 types of natural stone - and with base variants made of stainless steel or coated.
