The Weave Console is a slim profiled, contemporary entertainment unit with woven cane doors covering its three storage compartments. The piece is an experiment in materiality, pairing delicate cane with the solid, durable qualities of beech wood. By combining these opposing elements, the piece has a natural tension, elevating its simple form from the familiar to the unexpected. Every element of the Weave Console has been carefully considered and made by Caliper, including the woven cane. Weaving cane is a lesson in patience and timing. The process is tedious and the conditions have to be perfect, but the outcome is well worth the effort.

Adanac Sofa

The Adanac Sofa is a contemporary take on an iconic ’60s form. With light oak legs, slanted arms and a tapered back, the sofa allows for ultimate comfort, welcoming its users to take a seat and stay a while. The wool and down cushions add to the endearing nature of this piece, providing a soft place to land at the end of a long day.

An experiment in sliding dovetails. It is entirely joined with this method, leaving behind hints of the fabrication process in the final product. Knowing and seeing how an object is joined together is not only a beautiful thing but in this case is a testament to the robust nature of the piece. This object will last for generations. Adanac Coffee Table

The Adanac Coffee Table pays homage to the groundbreaking forms designed by the Eames’. While their pieces were industrially moulded from layers of veneer, Caliper’s contemporary rendition makes hardwood flow with the subtle curvature only human gestures can achieve. Mechanically connected, the tabletop seemingly floats above its legs, capturing the quiet elegance of the Eames’ designs through the versatility of wood.The scrap bin is where the Adanac Coffee Table begins, making use of offcuts and leftover materials from larger projects. In this case, flat-sawn white oak finished with a beautifully rich linseed and beeswax oil.

Feld Credenza

The Feld Credenza becomes the focal point of any living room, dining room or entry hall it is placed in. Handcrafted from rift-sawn white oak and finished on all sides, it feels at home against a wall or proudly displayed in the middle of a space. The concept is clear—to deliminate between the skeleton and carcase and highlight the importance of every component. Through dramatic structural lines, the viewer scans the piece horizontally, encouraged to trace their hand over each detail. Similarly, the door pulls are sculpted directly into the door, making it a tactile, immersive experience for the user.Often the success of furniture lies in its simplicity. The Feld is a true representation of that, a piece compiled of basic sticks and boxes that is elevated by its materiality and function.
