In 1939 Arne Jacobsen and Flemming Lassen won an open competition to design a new town hall, a new library and a theatre in Søllerød (Rudersdal). For the town hall, they designed a wedding room with accompanying furniture - including a sofa for the waiting area for the couple to sit in before getting married.
