A French term derived from silk with a rippled or “watered” appearance, moiré is an optical effect that results in the illusion of waves or the movement of water. This effect is achieved by having an opaque, ruled pattern overlaid over another. Designer Christian Lava’s studies of this effect have led to his latest design aptly titled, Moiré. Using overlapping grids of metal, this LED pendant light dynamically changes shape following the viewer’s gaze, practically coming to life with a vibrating energy. Looking to capture the mythical and natural beauty of this Earth goddess, designer Jean-François Crochet has created the Gaia pendant light. Consisting of geometric frames of brass or raw metal reminiscent of the mountains Gaia created, the pendant uses led light to push light through the “cracks” formed. The resulting light creates a magical feeling, as if the lights peaking through were alive themselves. For Volver, designer Diego Bassetti and architect Andrea Panzeri of Studio 14, protegés of Bruno Rainaldi, applied their multidisciplinary approach to create Terzani’s first led suspension light. This geometric design combines thin chains with the latest in led technology to create a light that is both elegant and modern. I Lucci Argentati draws from nature to create a whimsical, yet modern light. Recalling a school of fish darting through freshwater, it creates a mesmerizing luminescence. For his work for Terzani, Nigel Coates, well known for his unorthodox approach to design, has created an engaging, unique light. Customizable groups of hand made crystal "angels” are illuminated by halogen or led lamps. What caused these angels to fall from the heavens? It’s up to the viewers to decide. Either way, Angel Falls is sure to garner attention, and generate conversation, in any setting. Design Nigel Coates. Made in Italy.

At Terzani, we spend countless days searching the globe for talented new designers, but sometimes they find us. Such is the case with the young designers Luca Martorano and Mattia Albicini (Draw studio) who approached us with the design for Calle, a fantastic new light we instantly fell in love with. It howcases our skill at crafting crystal to take the material to an exciting, modern place. Luca and Mattia worked with our raftsmen to create a slender inverted flute of crystal that, like the calla lily it mimics, can be grouped into stunning bouquets of light. Design Draw. The yarn and glue/coating are used again in our own products and the last fraction is used to produce recycled plastic. Read more details about Ege CircleBack here. The colour palette focuses on dusty shades with a few stronger splashes of colour, offering you the best opportunities to mix your own unique floor design, where the combination of colours and tile shapes can bring sculptural and graphic dimensions to your floor. The unique ability of Calico to conceal its tile joints, leaving you with the impression of one large surface, should also be highlighted. Flux is produced from regenerated materials that allows you to implement sustainable and modern design in the office environment. The colour palette reminds of the transformation from dry to wet. Concrete, stone, sand and asphalt all change when a rain shower or a wave touch them. The sun and the wind bring them back to their original colour and in between these two extremes lie a countless amount of tones and shades. Flux is produced from regenerated and regenerable yarn regenerated from among others used fishing nets that are reborn as a strong and hardwearing textile flooring.

The instinct for the continuity of shapes, and lines, and for consistency of language and style typical of Minotti’s modus operandi, is embodied in the Dylan modular seating system. A multifaceted and versatile lexicon in which the rigour of forms is combined with their ability to accommodate. Refined and articulated volumes come together to bring to life a system expressed in three variants capable of meeting different areas of taste and as many ways of experiencing the domestic and Hospitality spaces.  Dylan, in the version with a suspended base raised 13,5 cm from the ground by thin extruded aluminium blades in Bronze or Pewter colour, has a particularly airy and modern feel, matching a more contemporary style, at the same time shining a spotlight on its couturier details. A project that offers a perfect balance between design essentiality and density of details combining light aesthetics with high quality comfort. The Dylan Small version takes up the same aesthetic, but with a more compact depth, specifically designed to bring the same taste of high tailoring into smaller domestic environments or more calibrated Hospitality spaces. Dylan Low, finally, sits only 7,5 cm off the ground and expresses a more classic and traditional personality, in line with a formal aesthetic taste.  The fil rouge linking the three different types is represented by the seat and backrest cushions, punctuated by soft, couture-inspired stitching, which make this system a timeless classic, albeit with novel and contemporary flexibility and modularity.  The rigorous shapes of the Dylan modular seating system, however, go beyond the stitching of the cushions, turning into volumes in which the geometries become sinuous and enveloping, thanks to the soft curves of the backrest and armrest that create a fulfilling sense of cosiness. The complex and sophisticated manufacturing construction also animates the suspended base of Dylan, which uses the same tailoring technique developed for the Connery modular seating system: the leather or fabric strips are sewn together by means of webbing and punctuated by stitching that gives rhythm to the seat cushioning and adds a further couture note to the design of the project. Every detail of Dylan combines the tailoring of the upholstery with the multifaceted vision of a rational architecture that passes from the space to the furniture, balancing and perfectly integrating it with the contemporary way of interpreting and experiencing living spaces.

Albert & Ile

Drawn from the Minotti Archive, the designs of Albert&Ile, a family of seats and a coffee table characterized by their vintage flavour, are thought as a tribute to Alberto, the founder of the company who died in 1991, and Ileana, his wife, currently Honorary President of the company.  The family shares the same design of the slender and retro-styled leg but the elements differ in terms of general shape.  Albert maintains the 1900-inspired armrests and classic lines reinterpreted by the aesthetics of the Fifties. A decorative front element runs along its entire length and draws the armrest: made of solid wood, it is first covered and then fixed with nails to the main structure.  Ile, instead, is closer to the aesthetics of the Sixties. Inspired by classic armchairs and characterised by the hollow shape of its back, it reframes these elements according to the versatility of the forms of the Sixties.  A mohair wool velvet, in vibrant colours with shimmering reflections - from Mink to Cobalt, from Blue Ocean to Titanium - is the upholstery that best enhances the two pieces. Albert&Ile have been edited on the occasion of the company's 70th anniversary, testifying the Minotti's DNA which, thanks to its founder, still transmits the importance of manual skills and the know-how of a sophisticated sartorial tailoring.

The OORT system is composed of tubular elements made of borosilicate glass. Inside them are flexible LED light tubes of the latest generation, easily replaceable, with perfectly uniform 360° light emission and certified also for outdoor use. The borosilicate glass is ribbed on the inside, a feature that enhances the light by making it warm and welcoming, brings out the effect of light and shadow, and allows easy cleaning of the smooth outer surface. The light is diffuse, dimmable and available at 3000K (1900Lm/m) or Dim To Warm which allows to change the colour temperature, by dimming, from minumum 1800K to 4000K at maximum intensity. The flux is dimmer-dependent to a maximum of approx 1000Lm/m. The product can be supplied at 2700K on request.
