A French term derived from silk with a rippled or “watered” appearance, moiré is an optical effect that results in the illusion of waves or the movement of water. This effect is achieved by having an opaque, ruled pattern overlaid over another. Designer Christian Lava’s studies of this effect have led to his latest design aptly titled, Moiré. Using overlapping grids of metal, this LED pendant light dynamically changes shape following the viewer’s gaze, practically coming to life with a vibrating energy. In Greek mythology, Gaia is the personification of the Earth and the mother of all life. Looking to capture the mythical and natural beauty of this Earth goddess, designer Jean-François Crochet has created the Gaia pendant light. Consisting of geometric frames of brass or raw metal reminiscent of the mountains Gaia created, the pendant uses led light to push light through the “cracks” formed. The resulting light creates a magical feeling, as if the lights peaking through were alive themselves. For Volver, designer Diego Bassetti and architect Andrea Panzeri of Studio 14, protegés of Bruno Rainaldi, applied their multidisciplinary approach to create Terzani’s first led suspension light. This geometric design combines thin chains with the latest in led technology to create a light that is both elegant and modern. Like water droplets, no two Mizu are alike, each crystal shape is unique and made meticulously by hand. I Lucci Argentati draws from nature to create a whimsical, yet modern light. Recalling a school of fish darting through freshwater, it creates a mesmerizing luminescence. Sets of sleek elements combine to form a stunning pendant with thin incisions along the bottom creating an understated, tranquil beauty. Thanks to its modular system, I Lucci Argentati is customizable and can be combined in many different configurations: from small to extra large and finished either in brushed nickel, brushed gold or white. For his work for Terzani, Nigel Coates, well known for his unorthodox approach to design, has created an engaging, unique light. Customizable groups of hand made crystal "angels” are illuminated by halogen or led lamps. What caused these angels to fall from the heavens? It’s up to the viewers to decide. Either way, Angel Falls is sure to garner attention, and generate conversation, in any setting. Design Nigel Coates. Made in Italy.

At Terzani, we spend countless days searching the globe for talented new designers, but sometimes they find us. Such is the case with the young designers Luca Martorano and Mattia Albicini (Draw studio) who approached us with the design for Calle, a fantastic new light we instantly fell in love with. It howcases our skill at crafting crystal to take the material to an exciting, modern place. Luca and Mattia worked with our raftsmen to create a slender inverted flute of crystal that, like the calla lily it mimics, can be grouped into stunning bouquets of light. Design Draw. The loose, slightly coarse structure of cotton cloth is the inspiration for Calico, and this is reproduced in both the pattern and the design of the carpet. The elegant loop structure creates the tactility and randomness that characterise the weaving of cotton cloth and the collection comes in 27 harmonising colours, all of which are carefully balanced tone-in-tone combinations. Choose from dusty shades of varying strength and character or go for a more pronounced colour choice, and whether you opt for a single colour or a combination of several, your floor will be covered with a touch of understated luxury. Calico has been created with respect for people and the environment, as the regenerated and regenerable yarn is produced from used fishing nets and other industrial waste, which are given new life as sustainable wall-to-wall carpets.

Available in 48x48 cm, 96x96 cm and 24x96 cm. Calico is inspired by the loose-woven structure of cotton cloth, which imbues a room with soft understated texture. The discreet play in the pattern harmonises perfectly with the structure of the carpet and the elegance is highlighted by the 27 colours that are chosen for their ability to create nuanced and balanced tone-in-tone combinations. The colour palette focuses on dusty shades with a few stronger splashes of colour, offering you the best opportunities to mix your own unique floor design, where the combination of colours and tile shapes can bring sculptural and graphic dimensions to your floor. The unique ability of Calico to conceal its tile joints, leaving you with the impression of one large surface, should also be highlighted. The collection is made from regenerated and regenerable yarn, based on used fishing nets and other industrial waste. What’s more, the tiles have our patented Ecotrust backing, made from used water bottles. The carpet tiles are therefore a completely green choice offering countless aesthetic options.

Una Tempo is made in 100% solution-dyed yarn, especially for commercial use. The carpets are made in 100% polyamide. Tempo carpets are stain and dirt-repellent. Class 33 certified, and thus suitable for use in high traffic areas, such as offices and public spaces.

As a site-specific installation, tailor-made on each occasion to suit its hosting venue based on the specific requests of its commissioning agent, the Roger seating system is the result of an open design, created to be composed with imagination and personalised with style. Exceptionally versatile, it is designed to meet the full range of requirements in terms of layout and use. Its eclectic character makes it capable of intercepting a variety of taste categories and it boasts an extensive range offering endless design solutions. Roger is designed by Rodolfo Dordoni and was developed in collaboration with Minotti, whose imprint is visible in its soft volumes, sophisticated upholstery and sartorial craftsmanship. The system is comprised of three types of elements: Roger Suite, with cushioned seat and a depth of 101 cm; Roger Spring, a monobloc seat of the same depth, with an internal insert in pocket springs that ensure shape retention of the seat, fully quilted on the surface; finally, Roger Spring Sofà, the armless version with a depth of just 94 cm. The elements can be freely customised with high and low backrests, different types of armrests and the option of adding elements functioning as tops and containers, jutting out at the back, or at the end, next to the seat. A system, or rather a super system, capable of creating countless interpretations and configurations, for both residential and hospitality spaces. Roger features a customised base in profiled aluminium with a Black Coffee-coloured varnished finish, which supports the padded elements and the Case volumes in Dark Brown stained palisander Santos, in open-pore Black lacquered ash veneer or with a lacquered finish in the colours Ice, Cappuccino or Moka, and a front or side open storage compartment, lined with Brandy-coloured satin-finish aluminium. Two cross blades in Black Coffee-coloured varnished aluminium make the join almost invisible and elevate it 13 cm above the floor, giving the seats an airy aesthetic. The couture-like skills used in the crafting process are expressed in the graphic quilting effect, sporting long horizontal lines that run along the backrests, the seating elements and the matching benches, endowing the surfaces with a super soft, luxurious feel. In addition to special back-to-back pieces, characterised by a single trapezoidal backrest, and chaise-longues with and without the Case element, the family includes many benches of different sizes, also available with or without the Case element.

FL/Y is an essentially-styled suspension lamp. The particular transparency of the material and the sheen of the colours recreate the idea of a soap bubble, shimmering iridiscently in the light. The shade is not perfectly hemispherical, with the cut-off falling just below the level of the diameter, offering greater concentration of the light. The lamp is available in three different sizes: Fl/Y (diameter 52cm, shade depth 33cm), Small Fl/Y (diameter 38cm, shade depth 28cm) and Big Fl/Y (diameter 83cm, shade depth 55cm).
