A French term derived from silk with a rippled or “watered” appearance, moiré is an optical effect that results in the illusion of waves or the movement of water. This effect is achieved by having an opaque, ruled pattern overlaid over another. Designer Christian Lava’s studies of this effect have led to his latest design aptly titled, Moiré. Using overlapping grids of metal, this LED pendant light dynamically changes shape following the viewer’s gaze, practically coming to life with a vibrating energy. Looking to capture the mythical and natural beauty of this Earth goddess, designer Jean-François Crochet has created the Gaia pendant light. Consisting of geometric frames of brass or raw metal reminiscent of the mountains Gaia created, the pendant uses led light to push light through the “cracks” formed. The resulting light creates a magical feeling, as if the lights peaking through were alive themselves. For Volver, designer Diego Bassetti and architect Andrea Panzeri of Studio 14, protegés of Bruno Rainaldi, applied their multidisciplinary approach to create Terzani’s first led suspension light. This geometric design combines thin chains with the latest in led technology to create a light that is both elegant and modern. I Lucci Argentati draws from nature to create a whimsical, yet modern light. Recalling a school of fish darting through freshwater, it creates a mesmerizing luminescence. Thanks to its modular system, I Lucci Argentati is customizable and can be combined in many different configurations: from small to extra large and finished either in brushed nickel, brushed gold or white. For his work for Terzani, Nigel Coates, well known for his unorthodox approach to design, has created an engaging, unique light. Customizable groups of hand made crystal "angels” are illuminated by halogen or led lamps. What caused these angels to fall from the heavens? It’s up to the viewers to decide. Either way, Angel Falls is sure to garner attention, and generate conversation, in any setting. Design Nigel Coates. Made in Italy.

At Terzani, we spend countless days searching the globe for talented new designers, but sometimes they find us. Such is the case with the young designers Luca Martorano and Mattia Albicini (Draw studio) who approached us with the design for Calle, a fantastic new light we instantly fell in love with. It howcases our skill at crafting crystal to take the material to an exciting, modern place. Luca and Mattia worked with our raftsmen to create a slender inverted flute of crystal that, like the calla lily it mimics, can be grouped into stunning bouquets of light. Design Draw. The loose, slightly coarse structure of cotton cloth is the inspiration for Calico, and this is reproduced in both the pattern and the design of the carpet. The elegant loop structure creates the tactility and randomness that characterise the weaving of cotton cloth and the collection comes in 27 harmonising colours, all of which are carefully balanced tone-in-tone combinations. Choose from dusty shades of varying strength and character or go for a more pronounced colour choice, and whether you opt for a single colour or a combination of several, your floor will be covered with a touch of understated luxury. Calico has been created with respect for people and the environment, as the regenerated and regenerable yarn is produced from used fishing nets and other industrial waste, which are given new life as sustainable wall-to-wall carpets.

Named after the city of trees, Sendai, this line of furnishing pieces consists of a small sofa, an armchair, a lounge armchair and dining and lounge little armchairs. Like slender trunks, the elegant, polished legs, in Canaletto walnut solid wood stained Light Brown, or Licorice lacquered ash, rest on the ground, lifting the enveloping upholstered body and creating a soft rhythm of vertical lines. The possibility of having the armchair, the dining little armchair and the lounge armchair also in the 360° swivel version with return (base in polished Bronze-coloured varnished metal, with sheathed spokes in solid ash with an open-pore Licorice-coloured lacquer, or in solid Canaletto walnut with Light Brown stain) makes the Sendai seats particularly comfortable for both residential and hospitality environments. The compact and well-proportioned silhouette of both the seats and the small sofa, opens up to a new way of using the dining space: as a living room within the living room, a hybrid situation, such as when dinner is served on a large table, while guests meet and socialise round a lounge table. A new, more intimate way of opening up new visual and proportional horizons of the living space, both in homes and in hospitality venues. In 2023, the elegant and airy Sendai family of seats expands, with a new enveloping sofa, a comfortable swivel armchair with armrests and a footstool. The design of the armchair, with its upholstered frame resting on a 360° swivel base with return mechanism, also stems from the desire to have a larger seat whose comfort is ensured by a higher backrest and the presence of comfortable armrests, perfect for ensuring a satisfying sensation of relaxation, especially when used in combination with the footrest.

A virtuous combination of its design appeal, visible in the rigorous geometry of its volumes, and the haute couture approach exemplified by its precise, meticulous sartorial craftsmanship, Blazer is one of the creations that best expresses the most authentic artisanal attitude of Minotti. All the surfaces of the elements feature stitching, designing evenly-spaced bands on the covering of the base, cushions, armrests and backrest, and creating a quilting effect that identifies its look and instantly provides a sensation of comfort. The system includes seats with a depth of 108 cm and chaise-longue elements with a depth of 143 cm - with high and low backrests and armrests. The system is complemented by a series of cushions in different sizes and headrests, which can be freely positioned, decorating the seats and offering maximum comfort.  The wide range, comprising sofas with strong character as well as modular elements, allows for the creation of original configurations, freely customisable thanks to the extensive choice of elements and exclusive coverings available. The compositions can be mixed and matched with the complements of the 2020 Collection - coffee tables, console tables, benches and armchairs - that pleasantly interrupt the symmetry and contribute to designing living areas with a bold personality. Blazer expresses a brand new style, mixing the high sartorial matelassé effect crafting technique, which qualifies it as an exclusive, sophisticated product, distinguishable due its exceptional quality, with a contemporary look characterised by clean, minimal lines. The key feature of the design is the backrest with rounded internal corners, which creates a comfortable, enveloping niche, transforming the chaise-longue element with high backrest and armrest into a particularly welcoming alcove.

Bianca is a family of luminaires with the decoration on the diffuser surface features an orderly series of shallow delicate grooves etched into the white glass, yielding an effect resembling small footprints on fresh snow. Mouth blown, belt sanded and dipped in acid to obtain the distinctive 'silk effect' typical of fine glassware, Bianca diffusers are available in three different diameters to complete all thirteen types of luminaires belonging to the family. The largest diffuser has a 50 cm diameter and, owing to its dimensions and the amount of glass involved, continues to pose a considerable challenge even for the ablest of glassbbottoms trained in the fixed-mould blowing technique, which – according to the traditional Venetian production process – is performed without any external aids for turning and shaping the glass blob inside the mould, but relies solely on the glassbbottom's skill and lung capacity. Bianca is available in the following versions: table-top without stem, floor-standing with base and stem, pendant, wall-mounted and ceiling-mounted. The matt white coating applied to the various metal supports evokes the name and colour of the diffuser. Bianca produces a very warm, diffused and enveloping light emission in the surrounding environment.

FL/Y is an essentially-styled suspension lamp. The particular transparency of the material and the sheen of the colours recreate the idea of a soap bubble, shimmering iridiscently in the light. The shade is not perfectly hemispherical, with the cut-off falling just below the level of the diameter, offering greater concentration of the light.
