Affair originally came about as a draft for the public areas of the exhibition centre in Frankfurt/Main. In other words, as a new kind of seating for large public areas in which many people relax, talk, kill time between appointments, take a breather and above all just feel at ease. And because such people also exist in other places, Affair is now to be found in theatre foyers and lounges, receptions and offices, company headquarters and atriums of all shapes and sizes. No two Affairs are the same. After all, it can literally be configured infinitely to form seating islands or corners, never-ending sofas or waiting benches. And then regrouped for any occasion and any purpose.

Conic

The Conic table with its elegant basic geometrical forms always serves as the ideal partner. Its round, oval or rectangular top is is available in solid oiled wood, in natural oak, walnut, ash, in lacquer/powder lacquer colours or mineral material white matt and the base is made of Cristalplant® in matt white. This compound material feels velvety soft, is 100 % recyclable and easy to clean. For a surface that still looks as good as new after years of use.

Conic

Conic comes as a side table or coffee table. The basic form is always elegantly geometric: A round, white tabletop rests on a conical base. Conic goes wonderfully with the COR classic Conseta, as well as with Mell Lounge, Trio and numerous other models.

Bag

Cor > Styling

The Bag in fabric looks good on any the armrest. It helps you keep things nice and tidy on your sofas. And the colour shade can match the upholstery or come in a contrasting colour of your choice. Just lay it over the arm, fix it by pushing the weight into the gap between the cushioning and armrest — and it turns into a practical holder for magazines, remote controls and reading glasses, all within easy reach.

Tablo is a small assistant, always there when needed. The side table with the distinctive base, chrome-plated or lacquered, is flexible and spontaneous.

Rawi

Cor > Armchair

Rawi is Arabic and means storyteller. A good story is best followed while sitting and relaxing. In this easy chair, for example, with its strikingly curved seating surface. Rawi easy chair is not for slouching, but for sitting upright.

Sinus

Sinus appears weightless, rocking slightly, and once you have settled down on the distinctive cushions, you will never want to give up your new favourite place again. The highlight is the combination of pleasantly rocking skids and leather straps that provide support for the round upholstery elements. Visibly and tangibly COR.

Cosma

Cor > Sofa

Cosma is not a sofa-bed, nor is it just a functional sofa; it is an exceptionally elegant piece of seating furniture which also serves as a bed. This is ensured by the slatted frame and the comfortable upholstery. The generally poor compromise between sitting and sleeping does not apply here because it is possible to do both extremely well, with conversion requiring just two easy steps.

Level

Level, designed by Uwe Fischer, is a family of height-adjustable worktables that are quite unpretentiously committed to the idea of a workbench. This gave rise to a tool with “trestle-like substructures”. A highly functional item that adheres fully to the tradition of modernism and brings its functions clearly to the fore. Working while standing is becoming more and more popular “because it most closely corresponds to the fleetingness and speed that work involves,” says Fischer. The change becomes the actual constant. A quick meeting. Then the table top is lowered manually or electrically. Then it’s time for a snack. Here, too, we meet for an exchange, this time quite informally.

Level System

For a less conventional design of workspaces and creative areas, Level System is a good choice. Its trestle substructure is strongly reminiscent of a workbench.

Jalis

The Jalis side tables provide space for a pot of tea, as well as magazines or travel literature about distant lands.

Floater

Cor > Sofa

Lounge modules with sofas or easy chairs (communication zones) can now all combined with desk areas (work zones) throughout. The basic configurations of this concept solution have an S or U shape. Similar to a construction kit, different panels function as links, connecting several modules to each other. 

Mell

Cor > Side table

Like the sofa, the Mell table also appears to float. This is due to the delicate steel skids, just twelve millimeters thick. A closer look reveals that they have rounded corners - a detail which underlines the table's class. Combined with the Mell seat elements, seating landscapes emerge which will always be glad to accommodate guests.

Elm

The model developed by Jehs & Laub succeeds effortlessly in bridging the gap between external austerity and absolute inner softness. To achieve this, Elm combines a fine, simple wooden frame in oak, walnut or lacquered with large, comfy cushions. Producing a chair that makes an impression from all sides — especially when you sit on it.

Like the rest of the family, the Elm coffee tables confidently take up the typical COR design: Every detail is instantly visible and surprises with many fine touches. The focus is on the beauty of the wood's individual grain and skilful finishing. The Elm coffee tables combine the wood with glass surfaces and are consciously reminiscent of 20th-century Scandinavian furniture design.

Cordia

Cor > Chair

Cordia is far too comfortable to be used exclusively in the office. We have brought it to the dining table. With a light-footed wire frame, individual material mix and a seat shell which merges smoothly into the graceful backrest. The covers on the armrests not only look exciting, but also offer perfect protection — from children’s sticky fingers, for example.

Conseta

Sofa beds and top-notch design are mutually exclusive? Not with Conseta. With its closed-base frame available in depths of 85 or 95 cm it looks great when folded up – and transforms itself into a comfortable guest bed when folded out. A throw over the foldable cold-foam mattress makes the frame vanish, while the backrest cushions remain in position and are perfect for reading in bed. And all done in a few seconds and with a pleasantly raised lying surface – your guests will almost believe they are back home.

Twin is a small assistant, always there when needed. The side table with the distinctive base, lacquered is cool.

Bridge

A bench is a bench is a bench is a wonderful reinterpretation by Uwe Fischer. Its elongated shape, clear lines and simple materials — wood and fabric or leather — combine to create an object that conveys lightness and seating comfort, even without a backrest. Bridge is more than an upholstered bench, it is a tool for the modern office that is dedicated entirely to the new informal way of working. Here nothing is put off until later. Here you can even relax whenever you feel like it. “Functionality without too much design attitude,” is what Uwe Fischer had in mind, meaning a language which is understood both in the living and working environment. We think he succeeded.

Pilotis

Part of the architectural periphery for the surprisingly new furniture concept Pilotis: various large, small, round or rectangular side tables with table tops in solid oiled wood or lacquered MDF and a delicate metal frame. The Pilotis tables are so versatile that they easily combine with other sofa ranges.

Mell C

The side table in a practical C-shape can simply be moved next to Mell or any other COR sofa whenever needed. It comes in two different heights and is an ideal place for your coffee cup or for long periods working on your laptop. The frame is chrome-plated and extremely stable despite its finely rounded contours. The top, which can serve as a table or tray, is painted white.

Mell is an elegant easy chair for the living area. Both variants with a slightly higher backrest or low backrest are right not just for Mell and Mell Lounge, but also for many other COR classics.

As angular as Mell might be on the outside, it is equally round on the inside. Mell is up for anything: as a versatile seating landscape or - which is new - as a small suite with a high back and loose cushions. And always on such a delicate metal frame that the bed almost appears to float.

Sitting in state: not here. Pilotis wants to be lived in. This is the reason for the deep seat and reclining elements – sloping or straight – which are more than open to a playful combination with tables and shelves. But the new petite variant for small apartments and small rooms also makes a big impact.

Cordia Plus

Already a firm favourite: the high-quality conference and office chair series Cordia Plus. With wider seating surfaces and reinforced upholstery in the armrests and in the headrest area, this executive chair version with a backrest height of 101/109 cm impresses not only in the contract segment but also in the home office.

Drop by Pauline Deltour is the name of a whole family consisting of a mobile roller stool, a stackable stool and large pouf. The small components are mobile, while the large pouf forms a meeting point in the office. What they all have in common is that they are laid-back. A round, fully visible steel frame enfolds each upholstered body. Tone in tone. Four legs with rollers turn the small stool into the office run-about — an incredibly practical colleague. The perfect additive for a mobile working envi-ron-ment. “I share my office with friends,” says the French designer, “and on holiday I use Airbnb.” It is precisely this lightness and joy that Drop ema-nates. Mell

Curling up at home certainly does not mean cutting yourself off from the outside world. On the contrary, the latest member of the Mell family is a furniture invitation to a cosy rendezvous with friends, family or colleagues. With the emphasis on ‘cosy’. On the good old kitchen bench, the chest-with-armrest model, you didn’t know which side of your bottom you should shift your weight to after sitting down for just a short time. By comparison, the separate seat cushions and high back of this youngster designed by Jehs + Laub are so softly upholstered that they allow you to think, talk, eat, play or work endlessly ‘around the corner’. And it does not necessarily have to be in the kitchen either. The elegant metal frame cuts a good figure in any room.

Flint

When it comes to snugness, this delicate occasional easy chair is like the most beautiful of flowers. Its body unfolds like a calyx and is made from one single piece. How is that achieved? Imagine it as a sculpture: ‘Simply cut out all that is super­fluous’, Jehs + Laub, the designers of the Flint seating furniture, say lightly. In fact, what they have created with their design is the square of the circle: a circular base — on a rotating plate — that rises up to the rounded square seat surface and then flows to the high backrest. Craftsmanship that is also so comfortable that it would easily knock you off your stool — if it weren’t so stable.

Jalis

Cor > Chair

Cushions are archetypal pieces of seating furniture, especially in Arab countries. With Jalis, they are raised to a European seating level and transformed into chairs. What looks like a cushion with a kink in it is in fact a complexly upholstered, stably built item of seating furniture relative of the eponymous Orient-inspired upholstered Jalis sofa. A pleasing contrast is provided by the seemingly delicate base construction.

Roc

‘Come into my arms,’ this chair seems to say, with its gently curved side rests reaching out invitingly to the observer. And you feel a sense of security as you settle down into it. This is due, on the one hand, to the generous seat surface with its softly cambered seat cushion and high back at an angle that brings the spine into the perfect upright position. On the other hand, designer Uwe Fischer has provided the upholstery furniture with a compact base which provides firm support on a swivel plate. Surprisingly, however, Roc is so light that it can be moved around easily in the room — to the seating group, to the reading lamp, to the window or even just to see its pretty rear view. And while we’re at it: Read the word Roc backwards!

Bond

Bond is the name given to the table series created by the design duo Aust & Amelung, because it joins everything. It features ex­treme­ly mobile, rollable and height-adjustable laptop tables, trolleys, side tables, as well as a serving cart with a leather insert and various recesses for work utensils and a bottle plate. “Our goal was to create highly flexible furniture,” say Miriam Aust and Sebastian Amelung. “Each part of the family performs its own function and can be used like a tool.” Even the side tables, with their offset, slightly flared legs, seem to be on the go. Interestingly, handcarts were among the initial inspirations. What has remained is the curved handle which says to its users: Let’s do it!
