Made with solid brass parts and handblown glass, imperfections are inherent in our handcrafted artisan production giving each light vitality and authenticity.  Namesake: Marjorie Louise Tallchief  (1926 –2021) was the first American and Native American première danseuse étoile at the Paris Opéra Ballet.  Marjorie’s older sister Elizabeth Marie Tallchief was New York City Ballet’s first major prima ballerina. The sisters were members of the Osage Nation. They were part of the “Five Moons”-- five Native American dancers from Oklahoma who took the international ballet world by storm in the 20th century.
