Bloque, concrete basin, reflects the timeless relationship between humanity and the material world and it's Inspired by the idea that, just as water carves its path in the sand, humans leave their mark on stone. Since ancient times, humans have shaped their environment to survive, from crafting stone tools to grind seeds and fruits, to creating sharp instruments for hunting. Today, we continue to shape matter, expressing our deepest emotions through objects. "Bloque," using concrete, honors this millennia-old bond between humans and stone, especially in regions where sand and rock define the landscape and horizon. This basin is part of the collection "Una gota en la arena". This collection is born from the collaboration between ISAD, Instituto Superior de Arquitectura y Diseño, and Forma&Cemento, blending the geometric minimalism of the brand with the essence of the designers' Mexican roots. Inspired by the arid landscape of northern Mexico, the collection of concrete basins and tiles celebrates water as a precious and scarce resource, in contrast with the desert environment. Through a pure and timeless design, the collection harmonizes culture, history, and nature, reflecting attention to detail and the desire to create long-lasting and meaningful products.
