TIGER ART GAULINO

The Tiger Art Gaulino reimagines an icon from BD, the Gaulino. The limited edition Tiger Art Gaulino joins the Gaulino Easy structure with a hand-painted seat by Tusquets. It was created to celebrate BD’s 50th anniversary and the Year of the Tiger. The painting imagines a tiger with dark stripes covering the hand-upholstered leather. Tusquets painted 50 unique pieces for the Art Editions catalogue. The chair has a rich frame made of ash with an artisanal and aesthetic intensity.

DALILIPS

The Dalilips was created by Salvador Dalí and Oscar Tusquets in 1972. And its sensual presence is constantly striking. Based on Dalí’s painting, The Mae West Room (1936) and the Mae West Lips sofa (1937), the 3 editions of the Dalilips (initially named the ‘Salivasofá’) were made for the Mae West Hall at the Theatre Museum in Figueres. Due to a lack of technology, the sofa was not commercially viable, but on the centenary of Dalí’s birth in 2004, the Dalilips was released in polyethylene, a high-quality material fit for indoor and outdoor settings. It has been industrially produced ever since. The Dalilips is real and surreal. Its shape, colour and lip lines emulate a giant mouth, and the moulded form is plush, comfortable and visually exciting.

The name Tambù is a nick-name for Tamburello, sport and game frequently played in many Italian regions. The choice of the name comes from the fact that the diffuser characterizing the entire system resembles that of a tambourine. The diffuser element incorporates two sources of light consisting of 2 LED cards that allow 3 lighting possibilities: direct, indirect or combined simultaneously. The Floor and reading versions are equipped with a 4 level light controller.

Photographs of bygone eras, in which the divas of Cinecittà and Hollywood wore beautiful pleated and flowing skirts, inspired the design of the Plissé lamp, which takes its name precisely from these garments. “Plissé” is also a term that appears in the old Milanese common expression: “la fa gnanca on plissee”, which literally means “it doesn’t make a single crease” (i.e. it makes perfect sense). Nata da un’intuizione, ex–Tr è l’elaborazione dell’architetto Franco Raggi di un suo progetto degli anni ’90. Le strisce LED vengono usate in modo tale che l’effetto puntiforme della luce che emettono, abbagliante e in taluni casi addirittura disturbante, venga annullato non dall’uso di schermi o filtri, ma al contrario dal moltiplicarsi quasi all’infinito dell’effetto stesso. Questo risultato è ottenuto utilizzando un vetro estruso cannettato trasparente che moltiplica la luce come se fosse un contenitore di ben quattro strisce di LED. La luce si manifesta così come una presenza allegra, giocosa, divertente, con molteplici sfaccettature, ma anche come fonte di illuminazione estremamente essenziale e funzionale. ex–Tr diventa anche un sistema con la declinazione del suo modello iniziale, a sospensione, nelle versioni da terra e a parete. Inoltre, per chi desiderasse una luce ancora più morbida, sono state previste le versioni dotate degli stessi vetri sabbiati.

PIT is available as a pendant lamp, table lamp, and floor lamp. The light is diffused in a very homogeneous manner guaranteeing high lighting qualities, making it suitable for domestic, contract, and retail environments.

FLUTE lamps are available in three different sizes. Thanks to the wide range of metallic finishes and colors, these lamps come alive with shades of light on the blown glass surface. FLUTE lamps can be produced in table, wall and pendant versions. FLUTE, like all Cangini e Tucci lamps, is made entirely by hand in Italy. It can be used individually or in multiple installations to create dimensional and chromatic effects thanks to the strong shades of glass and harmonious shapes.
FREQUENCY - Blown glass wall lamp

FREQUENCY is a linear LED lamp made of blown glass and designed by Marcantonio. FREQUENCY exists in a smaller wall and pendant version, and in two larger pendant versions. The smallest can be installed vertically, creating multiple compositions. The two larger sizes (128 - 150 cm) can be placed horizontally above a dining table, a reception desk or a desk in an office. Furthermore, the 128 cm lamp can be installed vertically and functions as a floor lamp, but without any floor space, since it does not have a base. FREQUENCY, like all lamps by Cangini e Tucci is entirely handmade in Italy by expert craftsmen. “FREQUENCY was born from the desire to enhance the essence of light. I imagined a beam of light that traveled through space. I wanted the shape of the glass to tell the movement and intensity of the energy released by this beam. Through a skilful control of the glass, thanks to the experience of Cangini e Tucci, we managed to create a sculptural object with a definite character but at the same time fluid and light, an object in which the shapes seem to interpenetrate, in which the volumes slide into each other as in a wave of living and active energy. REGULA - Blown glass wall lamp

The REGULA collection includes two different wall lamps and a pendant lamp, designed by Pietro Tucci with the collaboration of Alberto Manzoni. The glass is the same one we have always used, borosilicate, this time worked in a square tubular section. Surprising is the quality of light expressed by the LEDs made in Italy especially for this collection. The wall lights are mounted on the wall with a ‘clip-on’ system to avoid unsightly fastening elements. Novelty and innovation are provided by a magnet that allows the glass to be easily removed for cleaning. The suspension has a functional clip-on connection that is easy to connect to the power supply. The practical skill behind REGULA was to simplify the design by eliminating the superfluous and making only what is necessary shine through.
