Description
Archaic echoes mitigate the modern rigour of geometric motifs on jacquard fabric. Six weft threads are alternated in an all over pattern of varying depths. In an artful and well-balanced play of chromatic and material graduations, some lines are clearly visible, while others barely emerge from the background. This abstract flower motif inspired by the historical archives has been realized on a striped base and has been achieved from special weaves with floated wefts and fil coupé technique which recreate the retro effect of a jacquard fabric. A review of the Dalie Papaveri and Tulipani drawing, Hana-Bi maintains the approach fresh, ensuring the retro of the fabric is the true protagonist.
