Snowgems wall design (a+b) Annalisa Dominoni, Benedetto Quaquaro Snowgems is a wall-mounted sound-absorbing system, composed of panels in shapes and colours reminiscent of precious gems; made with Snowsound technology. The panels are held in a frame of galvanized tubular steel, which is mounted on two chromed metal plates that are anchored to the wall. The panels can rotate on their own axis, and thus lend themselves to multiple different configurations. “The design of these units is inspired by the idea of a thread of differently shaped and colored precious gems strung together to form a necklace or pendant earrings”. As designer his sphere of activity ranges from product design, to photography, to artistic direction. He has collaborated with many Italian and international brands for which he has created a wide variety of products. His design conception is marked out by his deep knowledge and interest in materials, technological development and manufacturing processes. Since 2000 he has focused his experience in the field of lighting engineering creating a line of products characterized by attention to detail and stylistic coherence, with great balance between contemporary evolution and use of the craftsmanship distinctive of the Made in Italy design. During his career he has received numerous awards.
