An inimitable lamp with a strong character designed by Gae Aulenti in 1965 for the Olivetti showroom in Paris in the colour dark brown. It has been produced over the years in different colours and sizes: large, medium and mini. The mini version is also available cordless. Now proposed in a pop key in the new signed and numbered yellow colour. The lamp is composed of a white opal methacrylate diffuser, a stainless steel telescope and a glossy yellow painted aluminium structure. Interactive, technological and fun.The magic of the light that takes shape the moment it is extracted.Metrica takes its name from the classic measuring instrument, inspired by the same gesture of extraction: in fact, the LED light source can be extracted or repositioned inside the body lamp by replicating the same movement of the meter. The uniqueness of Metrica lies in this interplay of technology and aesthetics. In fact, there is a sensor inside the movable structure that reads the alternation of black and white, thus adjusting the brightness. The LED light source, hidden inside the support that forms the base, lights up as soon as it is extracted, gradually increasing in intensity until it reaches its maximum position. For Lluís Porqueras, designing consisted of eliminating the superfluous until an essential object was left: beautiful, useful and simple. This was the case with the Funiculí, a 1979 lamp that Marset reissued in 2013 and which has become an emblem of the collection.Lightweight, it takes up almost no space and can function as an ambient lamp or for direct light, depending on how you direct the beam. Its designer released the shade to give maximum mobility. It can rotate through 360 degrees to focus the light where you want and also has a double clamp system for height adjustment. For the Funiculí, forty years are nothing; it has stood the test of time and now comes in new colours that further expand its possibilities. It is no longer only available in the neutrals moss grey, black and off-white. The new colours – green, terracotta and mustard – are intense. They are design statements, highlighting the shapes of the Funiculí and bringing chromaticism to the space. The new shades are cheerful and vivid, conveying that colour can also be essential.

Metal, wood, rope: simple materials which reinvent commonly used objects. A collection of poufs and coffee tables made in metal rods and woven nautical cords, mixed together like the paints on an artist’s palette. The reference to David Bowie’s iconic Ziggy Stardust is no accident and relates to the irony in the idea of revolutionising the type of accessory furniture in the area for relaxing. The barrel and hourglass silhouettes come together to make up islands which expand: interweaving and volumes are enhanced in the coordination of the mixed colours of the cord, pointing to a new idea of furnishing accessory with endless possibilities of personalising the space. The two-tone plaited rope is an exclusive Saba combination.

Leyva

The Leyva table is made of painted iron rod welded into a grille of uniform squares. Sophisticated and unintrusive, Leyva decorates the living room with a light, contemporary touch. The Leyva collection also includes a latticework bookcase with the same design, a clean-cut and essential silhouette. Its willowy minimal contours conjure up an airy lightness. Whether it is wall-mounted or free-standing, it will easily blend into any setting. Perfect for modern settings and a seamless solution for industrial surrounds, it could also bestow an unexpected twist on more classical décor. Moveable shelves and the base, for floor version, are in coated sheet metal.

The project takes its inspiration from the concept of our memory, reimagining simple and iconic forms with echoes from the past. Central to the design is the upright hexagonal structure typically used in building construction that, in this particular context, is interpreted as a joint onto which the feet are attached perpendicularly. This style detail is reminiscent of 1950’s furniture design. The base of the table is painted finished metallic wire drawn.

Bed & Breakfast

Bed & Breakfast is a sofa which transforms into a comfortable bed simply by folding down the backrest. The sofa bed is easy to open, thanks to a rectangular hole cut into the underside of the base, and to the special structure of the boxspring, which runs horizontally on a finger-jointed mechanism to create the extra length needed. Bed and Breakfast ranges are comprised of the Sofa-double bed and the Chaise Longue-single bed. This is the result of advanced research into new-generation materials which give maximum comfort with optimum resilience. The maxi scatter cushions unfold to create a small quilt, and can then be refolded and fastened with two buttons, to offer excellent back support. Fully removable covers.

The Cityscape console table features six-sided blocks of stainless steel in a three-dimensional intersecting pattern, highlighted by select portions accented in a warm brass finish. The result is a design with remarkable depth and brilliant shimmer, especially when viewed through the glass and into the decor.The vintage coloration is attributable to certain elements being electroformed in brass. Note stainless steel and brass will show slight imperfections and polishing marks. The 54 x 14 inch glass is flat polished with radius corners and is .75 inches thick.
