In fact, there is a sensor inside the movable structure that reads the alternation of black and white, thus adjusting the brightness. GUBI Satellite Floor Lamp, Outdoor

Building on the Satellite Collection of whimsical, modernist sculptural lamps, the Satellite Outdoor Pendant and Satellite Outdoor Floor Lamp are GUBI’s first lighting designs created specifically for outdoor use. Based on Mathieu Matégot’s original design concept from 1953, the designs feature an ovoid shade crafted from a perforated sheet of stainless steel, topped with an aluminum cap that helps direct the light. Playful and modern even 70 years after their first creation, both Satellite designs are ideal for installation on covered patios, verandas, or other sheltered dining areas. Two sizes of pendant are available, and both the pendants and the floor lamp are available with a semi-matt shade in either Cream White or Mustard Gold.

In this composition, four floor-standing modules come together to create a taut horizontal line. One of these, called Multimedia flap door, is equipped with a TV stand with a cable duct column that can accommodate decoders, soundbars and much more. This living room solution is enlivened by three Pillars that descend from the ceiling at different heights and mark the rhythm of the wall. The led backs, applied to the back of the Pillars, draw their silhouette, accentuating the dynamism of this sculpture.

FL/Y is an essentially-styled suspension lamp. The particular transparency of the material and the sheen of the colours recreate the idea of a soap bubble, shimmering iridiscently in the light. The shade is not perfectly hemispherical, with the cut-off falling just below the level of the diameter, offering greater concentration of the light. The lamp is available in three different sizes: Fl/Y (diameter 52cm, shade depth 33cm), Small Fl/Y (diameter 38cm, shade depth 28cm) and Big Fl/Y (diameter 83cm, shade depth 55cm).
