True-Punk Stripe

The subversion of striped fabrication has been a recurring theme in the collections of Vivienne Westwood from the early years. The painted stripe was seen in collections from the 1980s, often in the background or overprinted in designs seen during the punk era. For this new wallcovering collection designers from both houses sought to create an expansive panel design; where MacAndreas Tartan sits as the fabric, Draped Tartan becomes the gown.
