For Cadorin, covering the staircase with the same wood species and finish chosen for the parquet, in order to create a continuum between the floor and the staircase, is a daily occurrence. Many people may not know that, when choosing how to cover the stairs with Cadorin parquet, they can opt for different solutions. That because the Company studies everything in each single detail and the elements used to cover the steps – the bull edge, the riser, the tread, the edge of the staircase, the finishing edge, etc. – can be made differently, changing and diversifying the aesthetics of the staircase itself.

It’s easy to keep your floors covering entire walls: just use jointed boards like the 2 or 3 hardwood layers planks. Since long time the Cadorin hardwood planks are used as walls, wardrobes, doors, room dividers, coverings… During the last edition of Made Expo in Milan of the last October, Cadorin presented the new design of Wall parquet. It’s tailor made planks to be placed both horizontally and vertically in multiple modules, so as to do assemblies with unique drawings. The planks, in fact, can cover the wall horizontally or vertically using the same finish of the wood floor or choosing in the several collections of different Cadorin lines, like Elite Planks, Tracks Planks, Epoch Planks or Pregio woods. In this last case, it’s possible then having fun to coordinate and match the various solutions.

Rather than focusing on the warm reddish hues traditionally associated with European Cherry, the project explores a lesser-known yet more authentic expression of this noble wood: the colours of its bark. European Cherry is naturally wrapped in bark featuring subtle shades of grey, ash, ivory, and delicate blush tones. Discreet, elegant colours that belong to the forest landscape itself, reinterpreted by Cadorin in the CORTECCIA finish while preserving the wood’s tactile character and its natural chromatic variations. The result is not a finish that conceals the wood, but a surface that reveals a new dimension of its identity. The natural grain of European Cherry harmonises with the nuanced colours of its bark, creating a refined balance between material, light, and colour. European Walnut Bark

As part of Cadorin’s decision to introduce a range of colours au naturel, European Walnut, Select selection, with its typical multi-coloured hues, is now available in a Bark finish, for which the surface of the wood is either brushed (as shown in the photo) or planed. The real beauty is in the final colour of the Bark finish, which presents the colour of the wood au naturel. The shades are typical of those found in the bark of a tree trunk (the exterior part of the trunk), ranging from infinite shades of grey and tones of rust, through to more mauvish hues.
