Snowgems wall design (a+b) Annalisa Dominoni, Benedetto Quaquaro Snowgems is a wall-mounted sound-absorbing system, composed of panels in shapes and colours reminiscent of precious gems; made with Snowsound technology. The panels are held in a frame of galvanized tubular steel, which is mounted on two chromed metal plates that are anchored to the wall. The panels can rotate on their own axis, and thus lend themselves to multiple different configurations. “The design of these units is inspired by the idea of a thread of differently shaped and colored precious gems strung together to form a necklace or pendant earrings”. Snowgems is a scalable modular system based on units that add both formality and softness to a space and significantly enhance its acoustic and aesthetic quality. Klipper design Felicia Arvid XXVII Compasso d’Oro award Klipper is a wall-mounted sound-absorbing feature made of polyester with a Snowsound-Fiber 8 Bouclè fabric covering. The shapes, which are underpinned by stainless steel clips, are reminiscent of undulating sand dunes and not only evoke a sense of sinuous movement but also, thanks to the distinctive materiality of the fabric, seem to allude to the myriad grains of sand. The sound absorbing system is anchored to the wall by means of a sturdy bracket of epoxy-coated steel. Two steel stiffening tubes are inserted in the upper and lower part of the panel where they are held in place by special chromed screws. Lucrezio design Caimi Lab An innovative system of sound-absorbing tables, available in round and oval versions with tops of many sizes, meant to satisfy different aesthetic and functional needs. The structure, entirely in epoxy powder-coated steel has an original hourglass shape made of narrow rods, which creates two conical figures (upper and lower). Both are filled with soundabsorbing elements, covered with Snowsound acoustic fabric Fiber 3 Melange, available in a wide range of colours. The composite material tops are made with a “sandwich” structure, consisting of an MDF core enclosed between two aluminium plates, covered on the upper part and on the perimeter edges with brushed cement (handmade).
