SHAPES vases by Serax

In 2021, the studio was looking for a follow-up to the VOLUMES vases, but this time made from glass and solely made for flowers. With SHAPES, Studio Piet Boon created 3 elegant and serene vases, each made of completely mouth-blown glass. These objects have an aesthetic value, but also do not demand too much attention when filled with a bouquet of flowers. Japanese design and nature served as sources of inspiration.

KEKKE mirror

The with five millimeter strip steel framed KEKKE mirror owes its name to the characteristic Studio Piet Boon KEKKE shape.

VOLUMES vases by Serax

For this collection of five vases we played with the different thicknesses and heights that we always saw reappearing in commercial vases. By experimenting with them, volumes of different heights have been created at the top. These volumes have an important function: they keep the flowers in the right place.

Bring the outside in. The RAF armchair & loveseat blur the boundaries between interior and exterior design. Easily recognized by their characteristic sculptural shape with welcoming cushioning, the armchair and loveseat are an invitation to take it slow. The hybrid materials have been selected to maintain their elegance both inside and outside, making it ideal for a wide variety of spaces.

KEKKE lounge chair

More comfort. More balance. The KEKKE lounge chair offers the perfect way to enjoy long, relaxed days and nights at home. The design is based on the existing KEKKE dining chair but is more expansive, which means it’s more comfortable, as well. The chair is lower to the ground and features a tilted seat upholstered in soft leather. A loose back cushion is included for extra comfort and style. The design can be paired with the KEKKE ottoman. Both models feature thicker, powder-coated steel frames.

The BOB armchair adds a contrasting piece of furniture to the understated and elegant collection of Piet Boon armchairs and loveseats. The design of the BOB allows the user to be fully embraced by its soft form. The relaxed, flowing silhouette is formed by a high back. The deep cushioned seat, made of highly resilient foam and a layer of polyester fibers, creates maximum comfort.

Inspired by the shape of our iconic KLINK side table, the ELLA armchair is infused with the same non-geometric contour. In following of the BELLE dining chair, Studio Piet Boon designed another rounded low seater. JANE was named after two Michelin-star restaurant The Jane in Antwerp, as the studio initially designed the chair for the restaurant during the refit of its award-winning interior. Its cylinder shape, fluid lining and overlapping elements give JANE its accessible and distinct character. The sociable shape of the JANE invites for multidirectional seating, making it easy to combine JANE with other pieces of furniture.
