Ceramics is traditionally regarded as delicate, yet with Crockery Chairs, designer Max Lamb and 1882 Ltd. challenge this assumption, treating material pressure points as opportunities for innovation rather than constraints. The process begins with Lamb hand-sculpting each form in plaster, which then serves as the master model for 1882 Ltd.’s potters to reproduce through traditional slip-casting. This meticulous, time-intensive method demands weeks of controlled drying, expert handling, and carefully calibrated firing, each stage determining the final form and colour, and leaving little room for error. Crockery is both a feat of innovative production and an evolution of a long-standing creative dialogue, showcasing 1882 Ltd.’s technical mastery and Lamb’s material experimentation as they push ceramics beyond its presumed limits.

Bonetto ceiling lamp in white is a large textile lamp in a half-linen material with a Scandinavian design by Tyra Matsdotter. With unique fringed seams along the outer edge of the lamp. The lamp is designed to decorate the ceiling with a large, mammoth piece, while at the same time it does not need to take up much space if you adjust the height of the lamp. The Bonetto lamp can therefore hang neatly in the middle of the room without being centered over a group of furniture, like a plafond if you choose to have the lamp closer to the ceiling. A large ceiling lamp that can act like a plafond and as a large ceiling pendant in one, was something the designer had been missing on the lighting market. Bonetto is produced in Europe and is also sewn and assembled in Sweden outside Borås, which is something we are very proud of.

Three million years ago, during the Pliocene epoch, a vast arm of the sea stretched across what are now the hills of Chianti. This ancient marine basin gathered sediments carried by rivers — fragments of rock, clay, and sand — depositing them in slow, layered rhythms. As the sea receded and returned with time, it shaped a complex landscape of lagoon, beach, and shallow depth. Through eons of water and wind, this land was carved into a petrified storm, a terrain where time took geological form. From this memory of earth and sea emerged Rapolano, a Tuscan town known since Roman times for its thermal springs and the distinctive travertine stone born from mineral-rich waters. In collaboration with Vaselli, alcarol has recovered fragments of this ancient stone, their cavities carved by erosion, and filled them with a clear resin evoking the still waters where they once lay submerged. Layers of matter and memory suspended in transparency. The Rapolano Table is more than an object: it is a suspended landscape. A solid fragment of the Earth, sculpted by millennia, now hovers above ground, held aloft by two slender metal pillars, silent presences that do not merely support, but elevate time itself. The table becomes a metaphysical structure: where nature’s deepest past rises to meet the clarity of form, made eternal through design.

Crystal Wood is a sculptural trio inspired by the silent symmetry of crystalline minerals. Grown in many directions, these prisms recall the natural geometry of crystals — their sharp angles and reflective faces — while embracing the wild, organic forms of maple wood with live edges. Between the wood segments, a clear crystalline substance completes the volumes, as if growth continued beyond the natural boundary. Each piece is set on a burnished steel base, echoing the precision of a gemstone mount — a union of chaos and clarity, nature and structure.

Trail Console is crafted from a single plank of wood recovered in the Dolomite undergrowth, where native mosses still cling to the live edges. Preserved in a clear layer that recalls the water once nourishing them, the greenery appears gently suspended in time. The plank is sliced into three parts and rejoined with perfect grain continuity, forming a seamless transition from vertical to horizontal and back again — as if following the quiet path of a forest stream. Even the resin appears unbroken, flowing through the corners without interruption. This console is a suspended walk through the woods, a tactile trace of nature’s stillness and movement — where form and memory become one.
