Mountain ranges have long acted as natural borders between cultures, while shaping architectural responses to landscape — earth sustains us, offering orientation, stability and a sense of belonging. The Strato rug traces this depth through the layered geology of terracotta, sand and stone colors drawn from the sedimentary record, each stratum a different shade of time.

Elements, Flamma Yellow Fire marked a decisive turning point in human history. It enabled cooking and warmth, extending the day and transforming social life. In Maillage, the designer engages with flatweave technique, imagining the surface as a geometric embroidery in which squares woven in opposite directions chase one another in a silent rhythm. Her ability to elevate the material emerges in the intuition of a special yarn, created by blending three different hues: a mélanged effect that, through delicate chiaroscuro transitions, softens the severity of the geometry, revealing a pictorial surface that subtly transforms as the light changes.

The eponymous collection presented by Amini includes three color variants representing frames of the same rotating Macchina Inutile, narrating a moment of its kinetic nature: the slow evolution of these abstract geometric figures, even with a breath of wind, thus comes to life in carpets expertly hand-knotted with precious wool and silk. The colors – yellow, pink, gray, red, and blue – are taken directly from Munari’s visual universe, to deliver a work that is both a citation and a reinterpretation.
