Peaks Down

Peaks Down - Ceiling lamp by Michael Anastassiades

Michael Anastassiades > Ceiling lamp

Peaks is a family of pendants, composed of a string of elongated cones in different configurations. The graded shading on the curved surface of each cone is as much of a feature as the projected beams emitted from each cone. It can be displayed as a single, double or triple arrangement, pointing up or down depending on the preferred direction of light. An identical inverted cone acts as a rose attached to the ceiling. When the light is off, the forms appear very schematic, as if borrowed from a geometric still life. When on, the shading changes, as light casts along the curved surface.

Vertigo

Vertigo - Ceiling lamp by Michael Anastassiades

Michael Anastassiades > Ceiling lamp

Vertigo is a pendant light formed of two elements: a simple horizontal beam with a linear array of LED light acts as an up and downlighter, with a vertical strap that holds the fixture in balance. It is this simple attachment, suggesting the hoisting of a structural beam, that evokes the iconic images of the steel construction of skyscrapers in 1930s New York City captured by photographer Charles C. Ebbets. There is no separate ceiling rose – the driver is fully integrated into the structure of the pendant and the two pendant rods carry the electrical current, removing any need for wires that might visually obstruct the design. The light intelligently operates through a touch-sensitive dimmer in the middle of the horizontal beam.Vertigo is produced in aluminium, powder coated in either black or white. It is available in two length options – 1.5m and 2m – and there are multiple drop lengths to choose from, covering all possible requirements.

One Well Known Sequence -01 - Ceiling lamp by Michael Anastassiades

Michael Anastassiades > Ceiling lamp

This collection of fixtures uses the standard unit of the light tube as a measure. Through the alternation of 1m and 0.5m modules, it creates a rhythmic language of recording space. The designs evolve as a parallel progression of rods, combining five variations of standard linear LED bulbs and metal tubes of the same diameter. With this series, Michael Anastassiades expands the compositional possibilities of some of the most structural elements of lighting, engaging the viewer in a rigorous yet playful exercise in measuring.

Single Angle

Single Angle - Ceiling lamp by Michael Anastassiades

Michael Anastassiades > Ceiling lamp

Custom patina available.Inspired by the shape of fishing hooks, this collection of ceiling lamps evokes the image of a luminous sphere captured in three different configurations. Just like in angling, it consists of simply a single, double and triple hook. As often happens in his practice, Michael Anastassiades infuses the memory of modernist design with humorous narrative and figurative qualities. He references a common, familiar object and takes it through a process of abstraction, aiming to create a pure definition of what a light source can be.

Custom patina available.Tip of the Tongue consists of table lamp, wall lamp and ceiling-mounted sconce, all which feature an interesting illusion: a luminous mouth-blown opaline sphere appears to roll down the edge of a solid polished brass base. This delicate gesture of a sphere poised on the edge of the surface evokes the familiar phenomenon of failing to retrieve a word from memory, expressing a moment of tension in the form of the design. Tip of the Tongue was launched at Euroluce in Milan in 2013. It has gone on to become one of Michael Anastassiades’ most iconic pieces.

If our curated selection of stock colors doesn’t align with your design vision, we offer the possibility to develop a custom hue. Whether it’s an elegant NCS shade or a precise RAL tone, the color is carefully developed to integrate seamlessly into your interior concept. The Facet room divider is produced entirely in this bespoke color. Rather than being applied as a surface finish, the color is embedded in the material itself, ensuring depth, consistency, and durability throughout. Bespoke color development takes approximately 16 weeks, and the above pricing reflects a one-time setup cost per custom color. Create a spatial statement defined by material integrity and color precision.

CREEK Console

CREEK Console - Console by Alcarol

Alcarol > Console

Creek Console is crafted from a rare, centuries-old European Larch tree discovered under a snowslide in the Dolomites. Native to the Alpine high altitudes, this tree endured decades of winter storms and repeated avalanches — its body twisted, scarred, and reshaped by the relentless weight of snow. The trunk bears nodules, knots, and bulging scars where branches once broke and new ones emerged. It’s a portrait of resistance, a lifetime of healing made visible in wood grain, density, and form. alcarol has encapsulated this fearless essence in a resin that resembles ice, freezing in time the memory of a tree shaped by hardship, yet standing tall until the end.

CANAL Console

CANAL Console - Console by Alcarol

Alcarol > Console

In Venice, each canal has unique characteristics. Over the centuries man and elements have defined its aspect. Walking through the alleys, changing perspective or waiting for a change in the rays of the sun, this millennial environment takes different expressions. Canal wants to reproduce this experience: an integrated sensor detects the passage of people and activates a light source hidden inside the metal base, so the light reaches the aquamarine resin and gives us the thrill of a ray of sunlight filtered through the lagoon waters. The natural live edge wood obtained from the Venetian poles are bring again beneath the water’s surface, freezing time at the end of its cycle and giving it a new life before it goes to waste. alcarol has patented an innovative process capable of filling only the empty spaces of the wood with a special transparent resin and capturing the underwater air bubbles that bring the wood back to the original look and conditions, allowing to transcend the ordinary perception of a place.

JETTY Coffee Table

JETTY Coffee Table - Coffee table by Alcarol

Alcarol > Coffee table

Jetty is a meeting place, a surface area of transition between liquid and solid. A floating space where wood and water are spoken, whispering incessantly, like waves raised by the boats that dock. alcarol has patented an elaborate and patient craftsmanship capable of filling only the empty spaces of the wood with a transparent resin and capturing the underwater air bubbles that bring the Venetian wood back to the original look and conditions. By filling the gaps left by shipworms with extraclear resin, alcarol achieves a new functionality with the poetic choice to bring the material beneath the water’s surface, freezing time at the end of its cycle and giving it a new life before it goes to waste.
