The natural oak bench comes with a choice of unbleached linen cushion and braided linen strap or a dark grey woollen cushion with black leather strap. The 3107 has slim yet strong steel-tubed legs that complement the shell’s curved profile. Legs extend just beyond the edge of the seat, allowing chairs to be easily arranged in rows or stacked for storage. The base/legs are discreetly mounted to a circular disc beneath the seat further enhancing the clean, minimal aesthetic of Jacobsen’s design.

Designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1952, the chair is made from nine layers of pressure moulded veneer. Its elegant shape disguises its remarkable strength and comfort. The 3101 model retains the sculptural simplicity of the original three-legged Ant design while expanding its distinct, expressive profile to suit a myriad of interior settings. Although the four-legged version of the Ant chair was occasionally produced during Jacobsen’s lifetime, it was only put into official production in 1971.

The celebrated chair comes in a range of models and can be customised with an almost endless variety of colours, wood types and upholstery. Wooden legs are angled smoothly outwards in this design, mimicking the steel legs of Jacobsen’s other plywood chairs. This is one of the few Arne Jacobsen chair designs with wooden legs. Remember that the Grand Prix chair with wooden legs is not stackable.

The four-legged N02 Recycle chair is elegantly simple and functional, as well as stackable and easy to arrange in rows. Figoll's ceramic base is handmade in Portugal and the associated lampshades are also Swedish-made in Borås. The table lamp is therefore locally produced, which we at Calixter are very proud of.

Fritz Hansen > Chair

The Grand Prix™ chair is an iconic Arne Jacobsen design with a graphic edge. It was introduced at the Designers’ Spring Exhibition at the Danish Museum of Art & Design in 1957. Later that year, the chair was displayed at the Triennale in Milan, where it received the Grand Prix, the finest distinction of the exhibition. The celebrated chair comes in a range of models and can be customised with an almost endless variety of colours, wood types and upholstery. Wooden legs are angled smoothly outwards in this design, mimicking the steel legs of Jacobsen’s other plywood chairs. This is one of the few Arne Jacobsen chair designs with wooden legs. Remember that the Grand Prix chair with wooden legs is not stackable.

N02™ Recycle

The N02™ Recycle is a multi-use chair made from upcycled plastic household waste that can be recycled again. A crease in the chair’s back is inspired by a folded piece of paper on the designer’s studio table and provides extra support for the upper and lower back. Seven colour options are inspired by Scandinavian nature and, along with multiple base options, make N02 Recycle particularly applicable for work, meeting and dining arrangements. Armrests follow the backrest of the N02 Recycle and go on to form the rear legs of the chair, keeping the seat open and comfortable. N02 armrests are made from the same recycled polypropylene plastic as the shell and fixed to gently curved steel tubing.

STOOL LIGHT is sustainable in materials and production process and is the result of thorough optimisation: three models can be made from the same mould, meaning that even industrial manufacturing can adopt a green approach. The added value of A.I. lies in the fact that it is the first product family conceived by Artificial Intelligence in response to input received from the designer (Philippe Starck) and the know-how of the company (Kartell). Specifically, creative thinking, company know-how and artificial intelligence have merged to develop a chair model based on an algorithm that respects the original brief of the designer and the company a comfortable product with the structural strength and solidity required while upholding one of Kartell’s main values: to be an injection-moulded industrial product of outstanding aesthetic quality.
