It is characterized by a sculptural base, consisting of three 10 cm diameter stainless steel tubes welded together and painted with polyester powder for outdoor use in the Clay, Sunflower, Rust and Khaki Green colours. Enriching the colour range of the outdoor version of the iconic table, the two "orange peel" finishes in White and in glossy Pewter colour. Rationalist, minimal, designed by combining different materials and textures that enhance its linear shapes, the table features the element that characterises the Quadrado family on its top: a duckboard pattern. Teak duckboard, used in the yachting industry to facilitate the outflow of water, was introduced in 2018 as a modular element of the structured Quadrado seating system created by the Brazilian designer. The table comes in three dimensions, and features a top set on aluminium legs, designed as two panels that cross it on the short side. It sports a striking Lava Stone Powder finish, generating an interesting contrast between the surfaces and the Teak wood of the top. A number of plug-in accessories, such as the candle-holder and the Lava Stone tray, mean the table can be set to match the occasion. The Quadrado table can be used in different arrangements, perhaps forming part of a domino sequence or designing a frame round the trunk of a tree, as suggested by Marcio Kogan, as always in pursuit of an ideal relationship between his designs and the nature surrounding them.

The design of the Fynn Outdoor dining table spontaneously originates from the design of the chairs and armchairs, for an outdoor space in harmony with the seats. Smooth, soft to the touch, with no rough edges, the structural and lateral parts of the table reiterate the elongated and slightly curved design of the wooden armrest, which characterises the family of seats. The rectangular top, made of wooden staves, is available in two sizes. Of exceptional architectural appeal, and designed for outdoor living spaces, the Terrace table has a strong contemporary vibe, and a frame of slightly retro inspiration. It associates shapes from the past, in the design of the legs, with current day technology, used to create the cast aluminium frame. A table that expresses all the force of an architectural element, available in four sizes, three rectangular and one round, making it suitable for use in different spaces, from city verandas to larger garden settings. The 2021 version of Terrace presents the rectangular top in solid teak with a natural finish, and frame and legs varnished in White. Aston is a family of individual pieces, including a sofa, a daybed, armchairs, footstool, chairs and stool in two heights – 101 cm and 114 cm – custom-designed to furnish homes and “public spaces” with style and elegance, allowing the conversation to continue between indoors and outdoors. The Aston “Cord” Outdoor collection comes with a pewter colour polyester-painted stainless steel frame specially treated for exterior use, as are the padded cushions, which are covered in waterproof fabric. Here, the couture detail of Tape - the piece of ribbon that holds the feet on to the body - takes the form of a metal plate in Bronze colour, a finish that is the leitmotiv of all the outdoor seats of the 2019 Collection. The system offers many elements, ideal for creating relaxation areas also in small outdoor spaces or on urban rooftop terraces: from the armchair to the sofa, from the Paolina chaise longue to the original couch open at the back, from the chair to the coffee tables, up until the stool in two heights of 102 and 115 cm, in the collection from January 2020. The Daiki family includes armchairs with a deep seat, available both with and without arms, a dining little armchair and a footstool. Created using sophisticated wood crafting techniques, the curved shell in solid teak comprises two elements joined at a 45° angle, with a sloping backrest that guarantees maximum comfort. In the outdoor version the shell offers a snug fit for the stitched cushions, and is set on a stainless-steel frame with Bronze-coloured varnished polished legs. A design that also explores and reinterprets the American Mid-Century atmospheres, injecting new life into the style of contemporary outdoor furnishing with its clean, bold lines, exquisite teak working technique and balanced proportions.

Designed for indoor environments in 2020, Torii Nest migrates to open-air living spaces, in the armchair, lounge and dining little armchairs versions. With structural details linked to Japanese tradition, the seats play with round edged volumes, thin profiles and the apparent formal simplicity of an extremely intricate design. The varnished tubular stainless steel frame of the backrest is covered in woven cord in the shades Ecru and Dark Brown, sporting a design inspired by Vienna straw, but with a larger mesh. It sits on a base in natural teak or Dark Brown stained mahogany, supported by aluminium legs with a polished, Bronze-coloured, anti-touch finish. With its backrest in the shape of a perfect circle, and a sophisticated visual lightness that embraces the padded seat, Torii Nest Outdoor was conceived to meet various requirements, in terms of both functionality and ergonomics. The three types are available in the fixed and swivel without return versions, thanks to a tried and tested mechanism, a novelty for the outdoor environment.

The Lido family, by the GamFratesi studio, is a design that perfectly expresses Minotti’s will to create a single design for different indoor and outdoor environments: the technology and material that go into the pieces define their intended use. The Lido Cord Outdoor family is composes of a semi-curved lounge sofa, a linear two-seater sofa, an armchair, a dining little armchair and a lounge little armchair, with an enveloping design reminiscent of a comfy nest, also complemented by a bench and an ottoman. The frame of the backrest is in Bronze-coloured painted stainless steel, and it is covered with polypropylene cords in tones that can span from the more traditional shades of Sand, Dark Brown and Black, to brighter shades such as Citron, Dark Blue and Teal. All colours - with the exception of Black, which gives the piece character and a strong identity- related to images of faraway landscapes that bring freshness to this family of outdoor furnishing pieces with a look inspired by the 1950s. The Yoko seat evolves to become the Yoko Cord Outdoor project by Japanese-Scandinavian duo Inoda+Sveje, composed of an armchair, dining little armchair, bench footstool - with and without upholstery - and coffee table with top in Basaltina stone, all with a natural teak frame. The seat and backrest are strung with Ecru or Dark Brown polyester cord on which the soft cushions, upholstered with fabrics from the 2022 Textile Outdoor Collection, rest. The seat and the top of the bench footstool are strung with a balanced weave that gives the natural allure of handcrafted workmanship in line with the classic principles of stringing; a special teak frog feature has been applied in continuity with the finish of the frame to better secure the cushions to the seat and the backrest. A Bronze detail adorns the wooden frame of these furnishing pieces, embellishing them yet maintaining their silent elegance intact: it is a particular joint, located between the frame and the rear vertical legs whose coupling is enhanced by a varnished Bronze colour button.

The band which, in the original design, outlines the silhouette of the volume recalling the shape of a belt, in its outdoor version becomes a corded contour in the colours Sand and Dark Brown, covering the polished Bronze steel frame. The seats rest on a matt varnished aluminium base, in the shades of Ecru and Dark Brown, reiterating the colours of the cord, and feature padded cushions with extra-durable polyurethane foam inserts, covered in water-repellent fibre and fabric. The outdoor seating system, with its highly versatile modularity, is conceived as a dynamic mosaic, composed of tesserae in simple geometric shapes, which can be pieced together as desired, and reconfigured to suit the available space and the mood to be created. The design of the sofa base structure enables the back elements to be arranged in various set positions all along the perimeter, to design conversation, relaxation, and vis-à-vis areas, spacing out the seats with coffee tables, and complementing them with ottomans and benches. A solution capable of meeting the requirements of both small metropolitan terraces, and extensive outdoor spaces, thanks to the two depths: 83 and 98 cm. Empatia speaks to the emotions with graphics that interpret, through a highly individual abstract code, the stage make-up of a clown, with the aid of superimposed geometric forms and images. Radici is a tribal statement, a tribute to primitive ritual custom, evoked by the interplay between a sequence of triangles and rectangles and a set of figurative fragments. Ritmo is inspired by fabrics, suggesting the rhythmic alternation of woven yarns through a largely linear pattern. In Colore, the upheaval of a background of small isolated spots generated by a parametric digital program is combined with densely packed repeated forms. "The Chimera collection is rather like a book with four different chapters: I set out to differentiate these graphic motifs to create four totally different stories." Elena Salmistraro It all starts with drawing. A passion for drawing. An obsession with drawing. Drawings like spider-webs, obsessively filling spaces, in a kind of manual choreography or gymnastics, a continuous flow. Elena Salmistraro draws all the time. She draws everywhere. Mostly on loose sheets or random surfaces. First and foremost with pen and pencil. Her drawings only acquire colour at a later stage. Often - just like Alessandro Mendini used to do - she draws "monsters": fascinating yet disturbing, subversive forms. The denser, more contorted the shape, the more obvious its underlying truth. For Elena, drawing is an intimate act. It is relaxing. And therapeutic. With an unrivalled communicative strength. Because drawing gives shape to ideas: you both give form to the world and reveal yourself. This passion, combined with natural graphic talent, has guided Elena Salmistraro in her project for Cedit: an experimental series of ceramic slabs produced using a high-definition 3D decorative technique. The explicit aim is to transform surfaces beyond their original flatness so that a new, visual and tactile, three-dimensional personality emerges, sweeping aside the coldness and uniformity that ceramic objects often inevitably convey.Elena Salmistraro has always viewed ceramics as a democratic material, in view of their accessibility, and the infinite potentials for shaping matter that they provide. She began working and experimenting with ceramics very early in her career, just after she graduated from the Milan Politecnico in 2008. She came into contact with small artistic craft firms specialising in smallproduction lots, and cut her teeth on projects that demanded the hand-processing of every detail, and finishes of high artistic value, for the high end of the market. The large corporations and galleries came later, but here again Elena kept faith with her desire to make mass-produced pieces unique, and to combine artistic value with specifically industrial characteristics. The monkey-shaped Primates vases reflect this method and intention, aiming to excite, surprise and charm. Antiminimalist and hyper-figurative, playful, ironic and a rich image-maker, often drawing on anthropology and magic, over the years Salmistraro has built up her own fantastic universe, inhabited by ceramic bestiaries, painted jungles and a cabinet like a one-eyed cyclops , always finding inspiration and inputs in nature and always aiming to reveal the extraordinary in the everyday. Given this background, it was almost inevitable she would work with Cedit: constantly seeking new talents and new approaches, as well as designs that break down the boundaries of ceramics and release them into the realm of art and innovation, the Modena company has recognised Elena Salmistraro as a leading contemporary creative spirit and involved her in a project intended to experiment with fresh ideas in materials and synaesthetics.Salmistraro's collection for Cedit is entitled Chimera and consists of large ceramic slabs, which can be enjoyed not only visually, through their patterns and colours, but also on a tactile level. Like the chimera in the "grotesque" tradition, monstrous in the etymological sense of the word with its merging of hybrid animal and vegetable shapes, the Cedit project attempts to originate a synaesthetic form of ceramics, through a three-dimensional development that exactly reproduces the texture of leathers and fabrics, creating an absolutely new kind of layered effect, with a tactile awareness that recalls the passion of grand master Ettore Sottsass for "surfaces that talk". And the surfaces of the slabs Salmistraro has created really seem to talk: in Empatia clown faces add theatricality to the cold gleam of marbles, interspersed with references to Art Déco graphics; Radici uses the textures of leathers and hide as if to re-establish a link between ceramics and other materials at the origins of human activity and creativity; in Ritmo the texture of cloth dialogues with pottery, almost in homage to the tactile rationalism of warp and weft, of which Bauhaus pioneer Anni Albers was one of the most expressive past interpreters ; finally, Colore has a spotted base generated by computer to underline the contrast between analogue and digital, the graphic sign and the matter into which it is impressed. It is an aesthetic of superimposition and mixing, and especially of synaesthesia: as in her drawings, in the Chimera slabs Elena Salmistraro's art is one of movement and acceleration. A process not of representation but of exploration. Of the world and of oneself. Almost a kind of Zen, for distancing oneself from the world to understand it more fully. In every sense.

The Curtis bed owes its original identity to the precious quilting. The exclusive pattern, a circle crossed by a vertical line, has been designed by Minotti Studio to characterize the walls of the settings of the 2018 collection. The workmanship conveys an effect of great softness to the fabrics and the leathers used for the upholstery. The pattern, simplified and reduced to the sole vertical line, is also the protagonist of the finishing of the sommier raised from the ground. Curtis is characterized by a tall and thin headboard, with an exposed zipper along the sides, and is available in one length only, with a choice of five widths. Interpreted with a crepuscular light, in a rarefied atmosphere, it suggests the encounter between the past of the Déco tradition, thanks to the rich quilting, and the present of interior decoration, with its sophisticated graphics. The Lawrence plaid, made of 100% cashmere wool, it comes in three coordinated color pairings: Écru and Ivory, Silver and Titanium; both with a suede border in mud color and Platinum.

Its versatility means it can be covered with all the fabrics and leather in the exclusive Minotti collection, making it the perfect addition to many different styles of night areas. The slender, suspended platform base is of sartorial design, covered in fabric or leather and decorated with sophisticated details and lapped seams: the leather bands of the structural base are sewn together using ribbons and crafted with the same technique used in the finest leather luggage-crafting. The bed, also proposed in the version with leather bedstead and fabric headboard, offers absolute comfort, thanks also to the diagonal slant of the headboard, reminiscent of the Roger seating system, which facilitates the correct reading posture. Raised 13 cm off the ground, it sits on bearing blades in extruded aluminium with a polished Black Coffee-coloured varnished finish, set back from the perimeter of the bed. Roger Bed is available in a choice of five widths and two heights for the heabdoard.
